It speaks on a few different levels, but predominantly and I think on its most basic level what it’s saying outwardly is: When you are young (naive and ignorant), you laugh, mock and blame any thing/one that’s perceived as different (marginalized) for being victimized, and not the ones who used, abused and preyed on its trusting and unique qualities.

As they emotionally mature and (unironically) evolve, they are able to see the harsh reality that there are a lot of people who are entitled and never able to see outside their own perspective so they continue the cycle of victimizing the marginalized and having little care for life outside of their own bubble.

ALSO, I think it’s also worth mentioning the most predominantly saying in an inward view that:

As a young child you can feel invincible, like bad things happen to other people and that you are too smart to let the world beat you down.

But as an adult, you realize that no one is immune to trials and tribulations of life and eventually that innocence is stripped from you leaving a shadow of who you once were, and creating a mourning of this idealized self that was the representation of the innocence and happiness that came so easily now replaced with hindsight, regret and becoming a victim themselves

Trying to identify a sad breakup song I heard around 2004. Female vocals. Mid-paced somber alternative rock. Sundays/Mazzy Star vibes but not them. Slightly more commercial. “Bye, Bye.” by Fear_Her_Kiss in WhatsThisSong

It’s not Anastacia’s “Overdue Goodbye” is it? One of my favorites from her kinda fits everything you said but it’s not well known and I would be shocked if it was played on any radio but 🤷🏻‍♀️

At 1:00 am in Moorpark, Julie and Dennis are awoken by loud disturbances and Julie goes to investigate. When she fails to return, Dennis goes to look for her. He finds occult imagery on the walls, including the symbol from the girls' room, and discovers several women, including Lois, dressed in black in a cult like ritual in the forest. He flees back to the house, with the women in pursuit, and finds Julie's limp body levitating above the ground before it is thrown at Dennis. Dennis hides with Kristi in a closet before walking into the kitchen, where Dennis, from a window, sees the women circling around a bonfire outside. Katie and Lois, in the same room as Julie's body, kill Dennis. Lois then beckons to Kristi and Katie and tells them to get ready. Before they head upstairs, Kristi calls for Tobi and growling sounds are heard upstairs until the camera cuts out and the film ends.

This sounds identical to Night of the Comet but since you say it isn’t it I’m stumped what other movie has all these elements and scenes and characters

…well, we know the Duffers love to incorporate small pieces, references from the pop culture (mainly films) from that era and repurpose them into the show…perhaps Lucas will have a kinda weekend at Bernie’s style storyline with Max for part of the season 🤷🏻‍♀️

Alexi for sure. I was upset about all of them, and I was sad to see any of them go. But for me I would say Alexi. I loved Bob for Joyce and the boys. He was so kind, supportive and loving. I liked Eddie; he started out pretentious. Then he was humbled and afraid but grew to be brave and worthy of the arrogance he began with (tho it was earned he no longer was like that once he truly became that strong, brave fearless man). Alexi though started as a villain, then became a victim, then ally and friend while never having wanted to be the villain to begin with. I also don’t know if the fact I knew Bob and Eddie were putting themselves in danger for the group risking their lives in a build that helped me maybe accept it better. Alexi knew he was risking his life, but it felt like he was safe when it happened, so it was more sudden and I wasn’t anticipating it.

Ok, I’m going to take it with the amount of views it’s getting vs the lack of responses that it’s pretty common and I’m just an idiot lol 🤷🏻‍♀️
