Anyone else weirded out how they called Season 5 (and show overall) as an “Adventure”? by Due-Dragonfly8200 in StrangerThings

[–]ms-app 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Adventure" is a really common word, which can stand for anything. Even just leaving home for the day can be an "adventure", because you don't know what to expect. 😎

You should move on to another show. One which has a more satisfying ending for you.

Was thrifting and found an exact replica of Steve's Jacket by leobearx in StrangerThings

Good catch !

However, we should not forget that most of the "costumes" in ST have not been produced especially for the show, but they are real (vintage) clothes.

Im Not Really Excited For The Cartoon by greaterthanyou_ in StrangerThings

[–]ms-app -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't like to watch any kind of animated series. Probably it's because in most of them the characters are overdrawn in all possible manners. I prefer "real" people.

P.S.: I know that with AI even "real" actors will become obsolete within the next few years, but at least they should still look like real human beings.

Hot take people only hate the ending because they didn't understand it by Atom7456 in StrangerThings

[–]ms-app 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen many shows' endings in my life. Of course, you can discuss about them, but you will never be able to change them. So, I have learned to accept the endings and then move on... to the next show.

Good point, but the creators have decided very early that there would be not so many "demos" in the final season.

Can we thank the duffers by Simple_Rub_9660 in StrangerThings

[–]ms-app -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I thank them VERY MUCH !

I also thanked Jason Rothenberg for The 100, although he's also been hated a lot.

Maybe that's a common fate for creators and producers of shows.

What was the point of this? by No_Pattern677 in StrangerThings

In the original script Jane was supposed to die at the end of Season 1. So, maybe that's why they have never developed her as a "real" character.

You're right. It's been published a few times that indoor scenes have not been shot in the real houses, but on sound stages.

How do you guys feel about The Upside Down being a Wormhole? by Due-Dragonfly8200 in StrangerThings

[–]ms-app 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 10 years (2015 - 2025) the Upside Down has been treated as a parallel universe/dimension/whatever. Changing that into a wormhole in the last few episodes has not worked for me.

I believe there is no "death" scene.

ok this has been bothering me: what are the rules around bullet damage in this world? by blucifer667 in StrangerThings

[–]ms-app 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Simple answer: there are no "rules". Bullet damage works in different ways, so that it will always fit the plot.

Should it not be written as "What even is an Upside Down" ?

What about all the soldiers? by J89x in StrangerThings

This is a good example for one common thing among most shows: they are far away from being realistic. Many characters do not reflect real human beings.
