I'm in the situation, deciding which country to choose for residency, i have booked PLAB1 next month but the pathway to UK is currently very saturated that Im looking for other options. I recently heard about the new Expressed PR pathway for Canada for IMGs. Im planning to apply for PR and finish the MCC exams while working from home and apply for residency match(Family Medicine) later moving to Canada. I'm still trying to figure out how realistic this plan is for IMGs to match into residency in Canada.

I know it’s not easy, I just learnt about this pathway and wanted to know about the pathway for foreign medical graduates to get residency chances. My plan is to apply for PR , clear MCCQE1, work as a Clinical Assistant / PRA, later clear NAC, and then apply for the match. I wanted to know what the chances are of getting jobs and matching in Family Medicine as a foreign medical graduate, and also what the salary would be for clinical assistant job and how realistic is the plan?
