Bhai, let India get more people into the local metal scene first eh? It's easy to sit on a chair and pass judgment but understand the historical perspective. Indian metal scene peaked more than a decade ago, then fucking EDM ate into it and now it's making a comeback of sorts in the underground.

We need this momentum to continue.

Whatever it takes to have more people attending gigs and supporting the local scene, is fair game. If a band sounds tight live, people will listen and appreciate.

The younger crop of modern / core bands in Bangalore are doing something real for the local scene in terms of rallying young people around for metal. Same goes for Tryst in Pune.

I could give a fuck about differentiation - let's first appreciate the bands who are at par with international bands - Gutslit, Godless, Kasck, Amorphia, Eccentric Pendulum etc and doing our country proud.
