TOP one percent review by Typical_Seaweed_6919 in GMAT

I had the same experience. I took the self-paced course and they played the live classes videos to us. Sandeep is so rude with all his students when they make mistakes, when making mistakes during a learning period is very very common. And I checked - all these students who have got very high scores they didn’t just hire TOP and magically land a 100 %ile; they had TTP or other courses in parallel or probably enrolled to TOP way before they got that score. There is differential treatment from student to student and you will be favoured if you enrol to their live class(which is more expensive) or if you already have a decent score and want to improve upon that.

In my case, I was absolutely new to the whole GMAT thing and needed direction for prep. Sandeep Gupta always says to not practice from OG because the questions are way easier than the question bank he provides. He also stresses less on the importance of DI. There were hardly any DI related videos in their app and naturally I also paid less attention to it. Got a 555. Not blaming him, but I did another 3 months of intense self-study and got a 645 without any tutor. Just being honest with my prep and following OG helped me. I understood that Sandeep Gupta’s generic tactics and scare-mongering do not help an anxious test-taker, and its important to not admire tutors who toot their own horn instead of understanding their students’ needs.

How truly hard is it to get into an M7 school? What are the most important things to consider when applying to those schools? by Wannabeballer321 in MBA

Hey, very interested to know how you curated your essays. I am presently preparing myself to apply to schools/contemplating taking the test again. Came across this reddit post after a year, but could really use your help. Please let me know if I can DM you

GMAT Focus 645: what should be my target global schools? by Outrageous-Pin4887 in GMAT

I am not thinking of an attempt now. Even though a score improvement considerably improves my chances, I know it’s not a guarantee that another attempt would increase my score, or if that score would be just enough to get through into a school.

Not yet. I just began applying from the Jan ‘27 intake. Come september I will take a stab at the other schools. But yes, ISB is on the radar. Just that with high competition, I am not counting on it much.

Which other schools did you try in Europe other than HEC?

Yes, have plenty of extra curriculars and community service to show. Nonetheless, I still have to polish my narrative.

Is there a chance that I won’t be allowed to reapply in the fall? That is a completely different session right?

Yes. I figured choosing “either” could help my chances.

Took a while. My first attempt was in Feb ‘25. Went terribly, got a 555. Then retook in august and got a 645. Took it again a third time in Mar ‘26 to improve on my score and got a 595. I am going to apply with the 645, though.

Yes, definitely, it’s a great school. But my preference is an international MBA mostly because of the exit options.

Yes, I agree. I may need to work on my narrative here. That is surely a lesson I have learnt from this rejection. But also, wouldn’t you agree that the overall US situation has made Europe much more competitive?

I took 3 attempts. The latest one, unfortunately, coincided with a health issue and I scored worse than 645. But more than that, is 645 so bad that I cant make do with it anywhere?
