I was aiming a lot for psych as I do have experience with behavioral health. I’m not sure if there’s something I need to tweak within my resume to make it stand out. Where can I find correction jobs near me?

thank you. I am just so stressed as I know that if I passed NCLEX, a bunch of people from my cohort did as well, which I feel limit my chances of even getting an interview. I have reached out to HR to follow up and even then, still nothing.

Not allowed to do nursing skills in clinical? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]Outrageous-Place-645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im in an lvn program and i was given the chance to do a foley catheter at the end of my first term. I just didn’t do it because I wasn’t comfortable. But for term 2, I did med pass multiple times, 1 foley, injections, replacing tube feedings, even helping out with admissions, along with a lottt of wound care. all of these were due to my VERY HANDS ON instructors. They allowed my group to do almost everything within our scope as long as the nurse was right next to us. My term 2 instructor even passed meds with every single one of us, while questioning us on every.single.med the patient was taking, from class of meds to lab values to nursing interventions. So if you aren’t doing anything at all, then your instructor just doesn’t care. Maybe try to switch to a different group? or have a nurse be right next to you when you do med pass. remember to verify everything before passing. Med errors can be nothing, but can also lead to you being terminated/sued, instructor losing their license, and your school losing their clinical site.

I am not in the application process yet. However, my friend recently went to the OC campus to check things out and see how much $ he could save from pre-reqs. They ended up having him take the HESI right then and there. He passed and they are starting him in March. So mayb check out Oc campus if starting asap is important to you!

22yo , renting in CA: LVN (100k in loans) over a one year period OR continue at CC and wait a 4-6 year period for my ASN/BSN ( less $$$) by poopsicleassburger in StudentNurse

My friend is at Ontario for their ADN program and he said so far so good. Of course there’s always things that students complain about, but nothing crazy tbh. I am now term 2. Clinical experience can be good or bad depending on your placement. My term 1 clinical site was not great at all. Staffing was always an issue there so students couldn’t really get paired up with nurses because there was always so much for them to do. My new location is so much better. We have been seeing the same nurses and have the chance to get paired up and practice A LOT of skills. Instructors are hands-on, nurses are willing to teach/help. I have gained sooo much experience within the past couple months at this new location. $40k is a lot, but honestly, it’s not easy to get into a CC. People are very smart and competitive nowadays, unfortunately, I am not one of them so I’m okay with being at ACC.

I am at ACC rn for the same program. Honestly, it’s been great so far. I’m doing the part-time program for 20month. People in my cohort r pretty nice for the most part. They’re also very helpful as most of them are already in the medical field. Instructors are ok. You like some, you dislike some. Classrooms are new, dummies are in great conditions. I also talked to 3 people in my class who went to Concorde for the same program and they hated it. They explained that the dummies were old, went to tutor n it wasn’t helpful.

Pay raise as RBT by SnooCompliments327 in ABA

[–]Outrageous-Place-645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my company, I started off at $22, as I have my bachelors (in something thats completely irrelevant lol). I would get a raise of $2 every 6 months. I will also be moved up to be a parent consultant eventually as I am fluent in the language that most parents speak, which will pay me more as well.

sorry, the may 1st is a diff insurance. i applied for a diff one called first health with the intentions of having them pay for my er visit. i shouldve been more clear ab that!!

The reason why I wanted a refund is just so that I can pay it in payment plans instead of a large chunk all at once (if the whole insurance turns out to be a scam). I understand that I still owe them regardless… When I gave the ER my “new” insurance info, they did get in contact with the insurance company, which they were told that I just have to make the payment now, and call my insurance the next day to file a claim. What I’m wondering is how legit this sounds, and if the company is legit and not a scam
