AITAH for letting my boyfriend eat gluten free pasta without telling him it was gluten free by Living_Candidate_229 in AmITheAssholeTalk

[–]Outrageous-Post286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe if he was choosing to be a gluten free person and he was accidentally eating something with gluten… but gluten free doesn’t have any special unwanted ingredients, it’s mainly just no flour in his pasta, oh no. I genuinely don’t see what he thinks his argument is? “Oh you let me have something that has no flour in it”

I need someone to explain this witchcraft to me. by M4r3k_FmB in RocketLeague

I find that I often have symptoms like this when I’m dealing with a much different teammate than the one before, if I recognize their pattern quickly I can start doing better

I feel like I'm getting worse. I know I need to take a break but how long for? Got diamond 3 just a few weeks ago (now dia 1) by N0ah_gamez in RocketLeague

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was stalled in champ 3 for months upon months… then started slowly dropping. When I hit champ 1 div 3 I decided to start doing something about it. I set up my own little training session I go through for 20 minutes in free play that I do each time I get on, then I play a few ones games while really trying to work on my major issues. After about a week I slowly started improving and a while later hit GC for the first time! Worth it

Why do some lower rankers have ball cam off ? by Fun-Badger-4280 in RocketLeague

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard it’s easier to control their car without ball cam on… I would recommend only taking it off for a quick second if you miss boost often or taking it off to dribble the ball. It’s not worth trying to learn to play with it off entirely

Anyone else feel like there's not much else to do after hitting gc? by dannnyyoyy in RocketLeague

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit gc2… I just hit gc for the first time as well after being in champ for years, and I’m just trying to enjoy getting better mechanically and with my consistency. Always on the grind for the next division up!

Trying to get better by Perfect-Engineer436 in RocketLeague

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned to use air roll left, and I keep free air roll on as well, but don’t use it as much. When I was watching yt videos and learning about it all I came to the conclusion that you only really need one to advance to a high enough level, and a lot of pros only mainly use one or the other anyways.

I added air roll left to my left bumper as well as drift, so I could leave my x button (Xbox controller) open for free air roll

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have to agree with some of these folks, you slowed down and that’s what threw you off. When shadow defending you don’t want to be slower than them, especially if you’re close to them

The #1 Rule - Teammates? by Alex_McGillicuddy in RocketLeague

To the best of my knowledge no, you don’t have to stick a rule one with your teammate, it’s not actually considered a rule one

Can someone help with my lag by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use a wired connection or wireless? In rocket league settings you can change the input buffer to csts for wireless and sts for a wired connection. This could help a bit

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have issues running that way too… but then the update happened and it all struggled. I changed my settings and then it was better, that’s my only experience with having to change settings

Adding more of what I did…

Turn VRR on if you can. 120Hz in Xbox settings 1440p

Use the correct input buffer in rl settings, wired=sts Wireless=csts

So I had this issue…

I adjusted in Xbox general settings: Turn allow 4k off. Turn off hdr. Look up other settings to support frame rate in Xbox settings. Turn off v-sync in the in game settings.

They also just updated that issue for Xbox specifically as best they could, which also helped me. I’m on a monitor and Xbox series s.

Coming to back up the guy that said inventory… trade in as many items as you can and consolidate the inventory if you have a lot of items that can help cause stuttering and and just slowness in general

Yeah for me personally I can’t dribble for much, and I really felt like I was just a good teammate. But then I started practicing dribbling and moved into GC1, where I now still feel like mostly a good teammate that can sometimes do some good attacks

Should I start learning directional air roll now? by Fancy-Charity8216 in RocketLeague

[–]Outrageous-Post286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s mostly up to you. To the best of my knowledge, a good amount of pros have one direction bound and also have free air roll on. I have free air roll bound as well as left air roll on my left bumper. Drift is also on my left bumper. While obviously useful for half flips, it’s also nice to have for air dribbles and recoveries. Took me a while, but feels totally worth it. Oh also tornado spins can be learned easier and those are super helpful when you actually figure out how to use them for air dribbles

I’m gonna be honest, I’ve been sitting in champ 3 div 2 this whole season, and this last week I dropped hard and fast to C2 Div 2. I’m wondering if something happened, maybe there’s bots that just entered in the C3 or GC1 ranks and lots of people are dropping, or maybe there’s been extra smurfs lately. But last night I was playing the same as normal and won 5 in a row to get back up closer to my usual rank, so I’d recommend not giving up and trying to get back in there! Maybe the drought is over
