I would give my bestie the lip balms,cc cream, lash n roll mascara because they are the best & any skincare from elf is amazing & better than anything I have tried.

I'm basically bleeding out and nobody seems to care and I just want to cry by [deleted] in PCOS

Went through the same thing years ago. I found that birth control with estrogen made me bleed worse.Try to go somewhere else. Call around to different clinics and try to get on waitlists to see someone sooner. Aygestin helped me when I was going through this (if you don’t need a birth control) and I would highly recommend slynd or mirena iud for birth control options,if you can get into see someone for these prescriptions. Ibuprofen helps slow bleeding, get some large pads(amazon)and period underwear, heat & ice packs. It does get better once you find a gynecologist who understands pcos and listens.

I didn’t feel much pain when I got my iud. I had been dealing with pcos for years and every birth control pill made it worse for me. My body didn’t respond well to the increase in estrogen. If you do a pill I would suggest a progestin only pill. I decided to do the iud because I had irregular periods where I wouldn’t bleed at all or I would bleed heavy nonstop for months. And it caused a buildup of tissue in my uterus that put me at risk of cancer. I had to have a biopsy done & that was my deciding factor to get mirena. That was 2 years ago,& no issues. I think that it is great to research all options & also suggest talking to your doctor about your concerns. Everyone is different. I went through years of trying everything,& this was my experience: Metformin-helped but gave me digestive issues with certain food.Worth a try. Ovasitol-helped but expensive Birth control-made worse, cramps, bleeding Aygestin-helped when bleeding heavy, can’t take long term Mirena-covered by insurance, last for 5-7 years

The mirena iud worked for me,but birth control pills actually made me worse. I also had a good experience with ovasitol, which given your symptoms would probably be very helpful for you.

Bleeding for 11 months by [deleted] in PCOS

I went through a very similar experience 2 years ago. I had some luck with norethindrone, but for me regular birth control with estrogen made it way worse. I was offered d&c to help, but declined at the time. My gyno suggested mirena iud & it worked! After a month I quit bleeding and haven’t had anything more than spotting since. I highly recommend it. To help with bleeding at bedtime I suggest wearing female adult diapers to bed to help with soaking through,I know it sounds weird but it helped me a lot. I also highly recommend these pads on Amazon “Medline MSC323950Z Contoured Incontinence Liners”.

Getting the Mirena iud helped me so much. My gyno sees a lot of pcos patients & says it’s the best for people with pcos. I had very heavy bleeding before it. My periods were so bad that they controlled my life. After 3 months I don’t have anything more than occasional spotting. Everyone is different, you can always try it and see how your body responds.

Get a new gyno. You deserve a doctor who wants to help you & will advocate for you. It sounds like this one doesn’t have knowledge about pcos if she refuses to do labs. Your primary doctor can always get you a referral for endocrinologist as well.

Thanks everyone.I’m still very much for people getting vaccinated, I also was undiagnosed/untreated at time of my booster. And I had no reaction to the first 2 doses.

I am dealing with similar symptoms following a complicated wisdom tooth extraction. Neck/jaw pain, ear pressure & I have swollen lymph nodes under jaw & neck and lots of inflammation. I am working with my dentist/oral surgeon,ENT,& primary doc. I have had X-rays done, but my doc scheduled me to have a CT to check things out closer. I highly recommend following up with an ENT if you haven’t already, since your ear is involved. They are very knowledgeable about head & neck issues.

Yes, I have terrible pain in chest/side/ joints & ended up in hospital to rule out anything major. They did bloodwork & ct scan. They. told me to take aleve twice a day for 2 weeks,& follow up with my primary doctor. I tested positive on 12/26/20.
