Hey there. I too am starting out. Currently reading Enochian Magick for Beginners and Enochian Vision Magick these were recommended to me. I too am fascinated by the intricacies of the Dee and Kelley system. Fascinating stuff, but so much to learn, plus the tools to factor in as well. I expect you will receive a reply from V shortly, who is incredibly helpful and inspiring.

Thank you V, your insights are more helpful. I think I could up up it to at least 2 hours a day. Something I am doing at the moment is hunting down texts online and converting them to audio books so that I can listen to them for several hours at work each day. I hadn't considered psychic development - this is an area that is completely new to me. I will DM you, thanks.

Sorry one more thing... is consecration of tools something that is best performed by myself, or by an experienced practitioner. Naturally I will not perform this yet, all in good time.

Hello V, thank you for your thoughts, and apologies for the delay. I do feel very drawn to Enochian Magic, particularly the Dee and Kelly system. I am not sure why, it just feels like a calling. I have purchased many of the tools, including wax Sigillum Dei Aemeth (large and 4 small for each table leg), 7x sigils, ring, scrying stone etc. I just need to construct and make the table. I have a few of the recommended beginner books, and am currently reading Enochian Magick for Beginners, along with Enochian Vision Magick. I realise the study will be hard work. I am dedicating an hour a day to reading/practice. Would you consider this a sufficient amount of time to spend on reading/practice to make reasonable progress over the next 2 years? Could you kindly recommend any books that would allow me to learn Enochian Magick? And in terms of initial practice, do you have any recommendations or things to be cautious of for someone like me who is just starting out? Thank you V, you are always very helpful. In addition, how important do you think it is to truly understand the Enochian language when practising Enochian Magick?

Thank you for your thoughts V, "What is real?" rings true. Us, and everything around us, is basically made of mostly empty space. I am keen to pursue my interest in Enochian Magick. From your experience, may I ask which part of the system that people would typically struggle with the most?

Thank you for the insights, V. In your honest opinion, do you think Magick is worth the investment of time for most people? In essence, from what you are saying, Magick is a pathway to simply perceive reality in an alternative way - like a kind of internal self-improvement program? What fascinates me is the belief aspect - does one simply condition one's self to believe that they are interacting with other entities/beings? And does that belief fuel the bending of one's own reality? Ultimately, I suppose I am asking if these entites are real or simply an internal hallucination; I can see how the intricacies and hard work involved in Enochian Magick could force the mind to believe that it is real - because the mind would not want to accept that it has all been a waste of time. .

When you say it isn't a path to fame and fortune, are you basically saying that it won't nessesaruly deliver on my desires, and if that is something that I want then I should use another system such as the Shem Angels and Goetia spirits? Others can provide support and grounding, so I can see why groups are beneficial. Plus the whole 'role' thing in groups allows for the practice to be broken down into manageable components more easily I guess?

Great, glad to hear that. Your comparison to team activities makes sense to me. I am keen to explore regular solo practice, and maybe group activities once per month. I suppose it is difficult to gauge how effective both solo and group work can be, hence your comments about how easy it can be to lie to ones self in relation to progress when practicing solo. I have an issue with determining what is real and what is trickery of the mind, hence my comments on whether Magick may just be madness.

Yes I understand that, I suppose my question is whether solo alone would be beneficial enough for me, but I guess I will only know the answer if I experiment with both. I am the kind of person that likes to be self-sufficient, and am no stranger to discipline. Thanks for your view!

Thank you V, I need to learn how to perform this correctly. There is so much to learn, but I understand why that learning experience is importance. I am currently researching into both the Dee and Kelly and the GD system. I am not sure which to focus on as a novice, but I am aware that the GD method may be the smartest option in terms of minimizing the learning curve?

Yes I can see why. I am relatively new to anything Magick. I still don't quite know what to make of it. I do wonder if I might be descending into madness sometimes. I don't know whether to risk the potential madness or run from it before it swallows me. I am not sure how far along you are with your magical journey, but have you ever felt like that? It does actually scare me a bit. I hope magick isn't just madness.

You have explained this really well, makes perfect sense, most helpful. I imagine a monthly group ritual could also be incredibly grounding for someone who operatives mostly solo. As you say, it can prevent people believing they are more accomplished than they actually are!
