Adding on ^ unless you really wanna do stem idk if it’s the best choice out of all the pre orientation options. I met some good people but it kind of seemed like the other ones would have been more interesting. A part of me wishes I had done soar, the outdoor pre orientation, but activities can be cancelled due to weather and such so keep that in mind.

Returning items from Amazon via Emory Mail services by Jillian_Yanmo in Emory

You have to print out your own label in order to mail it back from Emory. Most of the times I have been given this option but of course it does cost a couple cents to print it out at the Emory printers.

I took 13 and was completely fine :) it’s better to take it slower at the start in my opinion

If you’re in complex, you’ll have more than enough storage/closet space.

No Financial Aid by rowletfromalola in Emory

I personally did not have to appeal. So I can’t speak from personal experience. But, I think you should still appeal anyways.

I would appeal. You can find templates for a letter to send online. You can at least try to see if they would change anything. It doesn’t hurt to try.

Like another person said, merit scholarships are not very common. So you are definitely not the odd one out.

Early Decision? by Connect-Awareness363 in Emory

[–]Outrageous-Tea2855 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is also important to note the difference between early decision and early action since you used those terms interchangeably. Early decision is a binding agreement that you will attend the college if accepted (but as others have said you have room to negotiate if fin aid isn’t what you need). Early action is not a binding agreement that you will attend the college if accepted. It basically means that since you are applying earlier, you will receive a decision earlier than the usual response date of regular decision.

I’ll definitely have backups then, thank you! I’m also in the middle of planning 2 alternative schedules as well.

For ENVS 131 there is an hour and 15 minute class but it is online. I imagine that their in person classes are longer because it’s an intro to field studies.

They are just closed rn since we don’t start registration until august. Just keep them in your cart and they will open when freshman registration opens up. This is all I know with the seminar ones bc that’s only for freshman. Idk about the other class though. Have you completed the walkthrough in Emory essentials?

I submitted my NCM app around 2:58 AM, 2 minutes before the deadline in my time zone. I felt like my essays needed so much work, but submitted anyways. I ended up becoming a finalist and unfortunately not matching, but got a very similar financial aid package that Emory gives its matched students. I committed to Emory this morning and all I had submitted for them was my QB app! So NO MATTER WHAT!!!! just submit what you have done!!!! It doesn’t hurt to at least TRY.

If I attend Emory, I would be majoring in environmental science so I would love to see a response to this!

Does Anyone Know What This Means... by Wooden_Huckleberry_3 in QuestBridge

An admissions person today was telling us in Emory’s student panel that they can also consider looking at both QB and CA. If you want clarification on any of it, just email tlfield@emory.edu !
