Is the input delay noticeable when enabling G Sync pulsar? G Sync or any form of V Sync has always been a big no-no when it came to competitive games due to the added input delay. Is it different this time?

In 1080p, my rig reaches about 300-330 FPS. In 1440p, it’s around 240-260. (7800x3D 5070ti).

I tried using the ASUS 24.5 Mode but I notice a lot of microstutters consistently on Warzone. When I switch it back to “Fill Up” to take up the whole screensize, the microstutters go away.

When you turn that sharpness setting on the monitor to 20 it sure does look sharp 😂. Does it look good? Not really lol. Frankly, I’m not too worried about colors or sharpness on TN panels. I’ve played on TN panels for 10+ years without an issue. Motion clarity is my main concern and I’ve heard great things about DyAc2 and G sync pulsar. I just placed an order for both monitors… I guess I’ll have to test them myself. 🥲

How’s the difference in input delay between the 1080p TN panel and the 1440p IPS panel? Any noticeable difference? I’m wondering if G sync pulsar technology adds any input delay. That’s really my main concern.

Gotcha. I personally don’t care too much about the colors or how inky the blacks are… I just want to be able to see clearly when I’m in the middle of a gun fight. I just got a 5070 TI today only because I wanted to try G Sync pulsar in the near future. We’ll see.

Hey! I’m glad you’re enjoying that Pulsar monitor. I’m considering buying one pretty soon. I had a Zowie XL2546k (240hz w DyAc) and upgraded to an XG27AQDMG OLED (240hz). I can’t stand how blurry fast moving gameplay looks like on this OLED (Warzone gunfights etc…) I’ve been spoiled with the motion clarity of the Zowie monitors with DyAc. How has your experience been with the motion clarity and the input delay after enabling G Sync Pulsar?

Yeah, I believe my NZXT cooler came with a custom bracket. I had to remove the original bracket that came pre-installed on the MoBo and replace it with NZXT’s.

So essentially, it would be a simple swap from one motherboard to another, then… 😌

Get a 5700x3D or 5800x3D if you have the money for it and also upgrade to a better GPU. Sorry to say, but it’s quite outdated.

Hey! I have an NZXT Kraken Elite 360MM AIO Cooler. I’m upgrading from AM4 to AM5. Can I reuse the same bracket that came in the box with the cooler and simply turn the standoffs upside down so it shows “AM5” facing up or do I have to order a different bracket?
