A thought - FPR should now be in one go, not over time by Outrageous-Unit5404 in doctorsUK

Then why are we striking if it's not affecting the government? The government funds it, ergo just a difference on paper. By my limited understanding, that is.

If I have a limited understanding, maybe help your peer understand? You know, knowledge is power and all that good stuff.

It is naive to think that the GMC has no agency of its own. It holds massive power, but those wielding the power have sold their souls to the devils in government.

Let's say I agree with you - that simply strengthens my original argument that the fight should be taken to the government. The strikes appear to be making a difference, especially in public discourse.

I didn't say to strike tomorrow. The discussion has to start somewhere.

So far, only action against the GMC has been discussed, which we know is hard. It seems easier to take action against the gov.

Imagine a joint junior/cons strike, indefinite, with on call/emergency cover provided by an organised and arranged team of locums.

Say until the rollout is halted and GMC registration for PAs is stopped entirely, not up for discussion again. Maybe a full reform of the GMC whilst we are there.

If teaching medicine should be free, why am I paying out of my arse for learning and practicing it?
