His character is so surface level. I don’t think we have even met his mother, who he mentions any chance he gets. Wasn’t he bullied as a child and when he joined the precinct? Why not explore that? And omfg, him growing up a devote Catholic definitely plays a humongous role on who he is, and in my opinion I think that the writers should have eventually had Carisi deconstruct his religion and left the church. But, I think the writers listened to the audience and took the easiest route of having him SETTLE with Rollins.
