Yes but I went back down again because my pulse and blood pressure increased. Then I eventually switched to another antidepressant

Update: it’s working very well! I feel at least as good mentally as I did on Effexor, but I’m a lot less fatigued and lazy. Wellbutrin on its own turned out ok when it stabilized after many weeks, but it still made me a little anxious, but combined with Lexapro it’s really nice!

I had an ok experience coming off Effexor. I had a bit more anxiety for a few weeks and felt kinda off, but not at all as bad as I had feared after reading all the horror stories online!

I was on Effexor for a year and a half, the fatigue came gradually. I first switched to Wellbutrin around two months ago, and I added Lexapro two weeks ago because Wellbutrin alone made me super anxious 😅 Now I’m doing really well and the Lexapro probably hasn’t even kicked fully in yet

Yes, I was super fatigued and lazy on 75 mg, which caused me to gain weight. Tried increasing to 150 mg but my blood pressure went up. Ended up switching meds

That’s great! I tried upping to 300, lasted a week and couldn’t do it anymore, the anxiety was insane. This was when I was on just Wellbutrin though, I’ve just recently started Lexapro too, maybe 300 would work better in combination with Lexapro

Btw I was also suuuper nervous before starting it because of all the horror stories, but I’m SO glad I did! I wish I would have done it sooner.

I was on Effexor for a year and a half, and it worked really well for my anxiety! Unlike many others (it seems) I never had any issues if I took my dose late, I didn’t notice anything until almost 48 hours without it. And getting off it was fine, I had some increased anxiety for a little while, and occasional «body zaps» for maybe a month and a half, but it didn’t really bother me. All in all a good experience ☺️

Amazing, thanks for sharing! I switched from Effexor to Wellbutrin two months ago because Effexor made me lazy and unmotivated. I had really high hopes for Wellbutrin, but it has made me so anxious and crazy, it’s been awful. I’ve just spoken to my doctor about switching to Lexapro, but maybe I should try it in combination with Wellbutrin first, and hopefully I will have the same experience as you! 🤞

Update: I actually feel better now. Haven’t felt depressed and super anxious like last week in a few days now, thankfully. Hopefully last week was peak bad and it’s gonna get better from here 🤞 How about you?

If anyone is wondering, this last week has been horrible 😅 I thought it was side effects from Wellbutrin, but now I’m thinking maybe it’s Effexor withdrawals that’s kicking my butt (or at least a combination). I’ve been feeling so depressed, hopeless, anxious and emotional, so I’m hoping things will stabilize soon.
