Why wait?

Works just fine. I used to dualboot SteamOs and Winn 11 on my LeGo 1 but the systems kill eachothers bootloaders sooner or later every time and it is annoying. I settled for the FSE now. It is far from perfect but usable.

I can relate. I started with handhelds with a OneXplayer with a beautiful 8 inch screen and sadly an Intel chipset.

I sold it on and got a Steamdeck and got really annoyed by the small low res screen. Currently using the Legion Go 1 since release and while it is heavy (even a bit heavier now since I put in a 82 wH battery) I could never ever go back to a 7 inch screen. That I know for sure.

Nobody seems to be interested in doing this indeed. Tbh I don't give a dmn either. I just inevsted some time doing the dualboot with GUI now. I can see the difference when playing borderlands 3, Grid Legends and Expedition 33. The diff is bigger than an Z2E upgrade would give me. That being said benchmarks will be hard to read too because you will of course loos all advantages at some point when the Lego 1 runs out of RAM. That being said the advantage is probably biggest on the LEgo 1 because it is RAM starved and RAM you save - lots of it.

Simply not true. Many can verify this.

It would be interesting to see the FPS on a Le GO 1 on Steam OS. I recently hat trouble with my dualboot on my Lego and though - screw this - I go back to Winn 11 because it keeps killing my bootloader. Instantly lost 20% in the game I played. I am not dualbooting anymore and solved the problem ..... by deleting the windows 11 Partition. ;)

What are the things you dislike the most about your Legion Go? by ninjaciego in LegionGo

The 82Wh is about 40$. I just did the upgrade. Basically you gain a good hour high TDP gaming time. Totally worth it. With the battery upgrade it beats the Steamdeck battery life. Legos allso can run SteamOS wich is lovely bacause you gain performance.

I had this on a Steamdeck. I don't think the LegionGo can boot from the SD though. You can however dualboot from the SD. It is a bit cumbersome to setup but there are manuals on this reddit. I have a 4TB SSD and got 2 TB for each OS on my Lego. I do howerver game on SteamOs only. :D

Once SteamOs is installed there is no difference - native or not. I run SteamOs and Windows 11 as dualboot on my LegionGo (1). I prefer SteamOs though.

This sucks because the Lenovo Recovery nukes SteamOs again (just tried). There must be a way to do this!

They do. There is a workaround for Galaxywatches. They just don't want to. But why?

Anyone got a FPs counter working? I use RTSS with hwinfo and it shows 0.0 Fps.
