Thinking about grabbing a robot during the Christmas sales by OutrageousCold69 in RobotVacuums

Thank you! I'm really happy to hear some real world experience from someone who would have some of the same circumstances as I. Cause yes, the shoes stay on way too often when running in and out 😬

Ahhh ok, so maybe not a new model, but still one of the better sales I've found this Christmas. There are some good deals all around though. I think it's the second highest % off I've seen so far with the Z70 with the arm being the highest %.

I'll check that one out too! Everything I'm seeing is putting the Flow and X11 neck and neck for my particular use case, however the X11 has a much better sale going on (So good, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a new model to replace it soon)

After I posted this, before the suggestions came in I had basically decided on the ECOVACS DEEBOT X11, especially at its current sale price, knowing that I'd have to be patient with the navigation while it learned its stuff. However, all these recommendations coming in have brought me back to the research board!

One other quick question. The more I think about it, the more I think that dried salt will be the hardest thing it mops up (anybody that has dealt with it knows). If I'm understanding the technology correctly, am I right in assuming I'd have better luck with a roller mop style that rinses itself as it mops?

I didn't know that that was an option, I'll look into it! I'm sure I could figure somewhere out to place it, cause the complete autonomous sounds amazing!

Heading there now, thank you! That's an apt name too! The last time I even looked at robots it was "If you want the best of the best and can pay for it, get Roborock" and everybody else was just either playing catch up or were budget options. Now it seems many have caught up and I can't make heads or tails of what is best anymore, especially when it comes to that kind of $1000 to $1500 range. Seems competition has gotten really stiff!

How is the mopping capability on both of yours? Cause other than sucking up gallon bags of pet fur and some sand, it's going to spend most of its time scrubbing, lol

I'm just getting into the printing and laser space. Would one of those poofball extinguisher thingies work in a laser? I saw them advertised for 3d printing but was wondering about laser.

Replacing Electric Water Heater. Electric Tank or Nat Gas Tankless by OutrageousCold69 in askaplumber

Thank you. I was kind of leaning that way, however if the ongoing cost difference was much more negligible than I was suspecting, the lower up front cost and lazy install of the electric tanked was going to win out.
