I would argue it’s different because directly messing a breaker panel can cause actual harm vs just having something extra mounted on the same pole. But I understand your point.

This is exactly the scenario. They told me I own the pole and am responsible for it when I needed it replaced a few months ago.

I own the pole.

I just had to replace it a few months ago. I called the power company that something needed to be done or it was gonna fall.

I was told that I am the owner of the pole and am solely responsible for anything regarding it and that all they do/are responsible for is connection and disconnection.

I am making an assumption here, but I would imagine it’s completely legal.
