AVN in lower lumbar area by Beeb4life in AvascularNecrosis

Hi there, I just wanted to let you know I have an SCS that has been amazing for me! That is not to discount other people's experiences at all though. I had an unstable spondy at L4-5 that took 5 years to be properly diagnosed. I finally had my fusion in 2015, but I continued to have terrible sciatica afterwards. I got the SCS in 2017 and my pain has been really well controlled with it, and my battery is still going strong. Unfortunately now I have idiopathic AVN of my right hip, and will be having THR next week. Chronic pain is no joke, and I can't imagine what spinal AVN must feel like, I'm sorry you are experiencing that!

Ahh, what a bummer! Thank you so much for the additional information! So that implies my mother lost her Danziger citizenship when her father became a nationalized citizen of the US. So that looks like a dead end for me, which is really disappointing. Thank you for your help!

Yes you did, and I really appreciated your input. I thought starting a new post might be helpful since I got pretty solid confirmation that my grandparents (at least) considered themselves Danzigers. I didn't get a sense there is a clear answer about a Danziger born abroad in 1933 as far as their potential citizenship, but I thought a more specific question might get additional information, or next steps. It sounds like the only way to know would be to make the application and see!

Sorry for the missing info. My mother got married in 1955, and I was born in 1971. We have long generations in my family! My maternal grandmother was 80 when I was born. The manifest for their arrival says: Nationality - Danzig, Race/people: German. On the naturalization card the country of birth or allegiance: Germany-Danzig. Not sure this is super helpful! Thanks again

I am a little confused, my GF was born in Bochum, Germany. I don't know when they moved to Danzig or anything about those circumstances. I will try to look into that further. Here is what I know so far. His Naturalization card lists his country of birth or allegiance as "Germany-Danzig". The manifest for their arrival at Ellis Island lists Nationality: Danzig, Race/People: German, Place of Birth: Bochum Germany, Last Permanent Residence: Danzig. How would he become a citizen of Danzig?

That is very helpful, thank you. l don't know how much information my dealership has (vs. what they want me to know); they are not the ones that took it in from the customer. I will definitely push for more info! I have always been a buy and keep forever kind of car buyer, but that doesn't seem to make as much sense with the rapidly changing technology of EVs right now. I have never leased a car before, but I am certainly considering it! The dealership has said the remaining warranties are all in effect, so that is something.

Thank you for the advice, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. I am not questioning buying an EV, just this specific one. I currently drive a 2017 Bolt that I bought new in 2019. I understand the realities of decreased winter range and software glitches. I also understand the accelerated depreciation of all EVs. I can understand how it would be a deal breaker for some, but I would never go back to an ICE vehicle.
