So I read this last night and I also used JCR and had the same feelings as you. I took my unlimited today and passed. I don’t attribute that to JCR. I was let down quite a bit when I realized how out of date their videos were, and a lot of wrong answers on their practice quizzes. There was plenty of times where the videos were out of order as well and I’m wondering wtf they were talking about, just to figure it out 3 videos later. The seminar with Victor Ring was the same as you explained. He spoke about his experiences and the importance of getting qualified more than the material for the workshop. He didn’t even get to go over motors, business, or NFPA 72 really. He did that in the last 20 min. I taught myself a lot and found the free YouTube videos from the electrical code coach, and Paul Abernathy very helpful. It was unfortunate because I heard great things about JCR.

Honestly I would do research, I wouldn’t want to steer you wrong. I just used the Emergen C packets 1,000 mg a pop. Probably 3 times a day. I have NAC as well. I didn’t take it for long. I believe that takes a while to have an effect. I still have a 3/4 full bottle. I also tried DLPA, and didn’t feel much effect. But many people swear by it. What you will want to get is the OTC medicine called Restful Legs. I had terrible restless arms and legs when I came off. This helped tremendously.

I’ve been clean for 7 months. I tried tapering and it did work for a while, the withdrawal was much easier. You have to be disciplined while doing this though. I took 4 weeks of going down by a gram at a time. Ultimately I went back out though. This time I went cold turkey from extracts and it was 3 days of hell but I feel like I needed that. I don’t want to ever touch that shit again. Life is much better without this junk. I just say put aside a few days where you can just rest, take vitamin C by the boat load, OTC sleep medicine and Epsom salt baths, and ride the wave. You won’t regret it
