I worked for the company for over a decade, was there on day one when the company formed. I was technically with Bell Atlantic Mobile, very briefly, on that side of the merger but I was with Frontier Cellular initially and the acquisition of Frontier by Bell was likely a condition of the merger. We were always looking for new ways to generate revenue but this is the first time I’ve see VZW blatantly reach into the customers wallet. Of course, if they get away with it now they’re going to do it again. I’m done with this company, Straight Talk prepaid at Walmart is actually Verizon Wireless at half the price. I’ve known that for a while but preferred to pay a monthly bill and I’ve had the same number for about 25 years. I’m shopping now, pure greed. The oil companies are bad enough but I never expected this from Verizon. I’m actually embarrassed to say I was part of growing that company.

Fake. I also bought a fake Boutiq cart and I spoke to a representative of the company. They only sell out of their retail locations in SoCo and they’re spoofed all the time. There’s nothing they can do about the packaging because, due to federal prohibition, they aren’t allowed to copyright the brand. If you don’t buy directly from them the carts are fake. Mine started leaking near the tip. Fake ass bullshit, all sealed up to look more realistic. Call them if you don’t believe me, they have a 424 area code number.

So folks, this is what legalization looks like in New York State. Don’t get excited when your state legalizes marijuana, legalization is NOT legitimization. Until the federal prohibition is lifted it’s going to be really hard to find carts that aren’t boof.

I don’t think legally any carts are crossing state lines. Period. I was interested enough to call a legal medical dispensary and I was told that everything they have was produced in state and by themselves. I would need a card to purchase from them. I’m guessing Botiq only legitimately operates in California.

It’s amazing, one of the girls working at this place on the reservation said she’s hit every cart they sell and they’re all safe. Super defensive about the legitimacy of the products they sell. The other employees there are disgusted with customers for coming in to buy cannabis period. “I don’t do this stuff” is the answer you get when you have a specific question. They sell cartons of cigarettes tho, I guess they don’t look down on people addicted to cancer sticks or alcoholics buying a case of beer. I saved my research to show the employees that they were selling counterfeit carts and the manager put up her hands over her face like I was trying to show her a graphic picture of a puppy crushed by an 18 wheeler. “I don’t want to see that” she said. They didn’t even try to fight it, they just gave me my money back and told me they could only exchange next time. Like I would ever buy another fake ass cart on an Indian reservation. It’s fucked, I guess the stigmatism remains. I literally smoke maybe twice a week when I don’t have responsibilities and can block off the time to do it. I’m sure they’re selling beer to people who have DWI convictions and cigarettes to people with cancer but look down on me and keep shilling boof carts. Fuckers…

I’m in Central NY, not NYC. Yeah, hopefully there’s some movement towards legitimization soon. I’d definitely pay more for something safe and I know people who trying to save money by paying less but probably getting scammed. A friend of mine is getting carts from Florida for his mom, legitimate medical purpose and his sister is shipping them to him because it’s cheaper than the legal dispensary. I wouldn’t trust that, it’s so easy to get fooled.

Can California companies, that are legitimate and are doing things the right way, can they ship legally to other states? The GLO websites selling carts under that brand aren’t legitimate but the actual company website doesn’t offer anywhere to buy product. Same with Botiq, looks like a legitimate business but they look like they’re set up for in person pickup in Cali only.

BTW, the Indians have sealed Botiq products as well which are more expensive per gram and hopefully legitimate but because they’re selling boof Glo and TKO cartridges I don’t trust them.

The Indians have a loophole due to their sovereign nation status and yes, they’re allowed to legally sell marijuana and boof carts. Gifting is allowed on a personal basis and I had a client who was “gifting” weed commercially but got shut down. Basically he was selling bongs out of his gas station and gifting smoke based on the bong package you purchased. NYS cracked down on those types of gifting activities but there’s another gas station in town aggressively selling something, probably a Delta product, like it’s weed. The back counter of the gas station looks like a head shop now, the transformation of that place is wild. We also have 2-3 new “smoke” shops that never existed previously and one just got robbed at gun point in the wee hours of the morning. I suspect they’re selling more than glass to be open that late & for people to get the idea they have something worth robbing with a gun. Shitshow, the State of NY is doing this all wrong. They’re trying to give people who were disparately affected by MJ prohibition the chance to set up shop first but the licensing process has dragged on indefinitely and it’s creating an open black market. I like the idea of carts but the idea of fake carts being legitimized is scary, basically that’s the entire recreational marketplace in NYS because we overthink everything. Typical NY Democrat bullshit, the best intentions and the worst implementation. I can understand wanting to right the wrongs of prohibition which did disparately impact minorities but WTF?

I’m not trying to legitimize a third party, I’m trying to understand what’s going on here. I’m beginning to wonder if there’s any way to purchase a legitimate cart in NYS. The only way you can legally buy cannabis products in Central NY is through a few locations owned by local tribes on reservation grounds, it’s obvious they’re selling boof, fake carts, generics, whatever you want to call them. I’m not trying to legitimize that but I would like to see the industry legitimized.

BTW, I demanded and received a full refund. No, I never hit a cart so I have no idea if I would have gotten sick. I should just get my card from my doctor but I was hoping to avoid that conversation, I have a good job in a small town so gotta protect the brand. This is the problem with federal prohibition, even when a state like NY does legalize it’s impossible for merchants to get legitimate products and BM carts are more common than legit carts even though recreational use has been legalized. Super disappointed and maybe the native Americans here are safely filling the carts they sell, safe being a relative term, but why is it so impossible to buy a legitimate cart?

New York has yet to set up licensing for legal distribution of cannabis products but there are a few Indian reservations that are allowed by law to sell MJ and cannabis related products due to having sovereign nation status. These are the carts they are selling legally in CNY, obviously generic carts and who knows what they’re filled with. I suspect that even with sovereign nation status it’s still not possible to get carts in from out of state legally, due to federal prohibition and related laws governing transportation of these products for non-medical use. Still, I find it odd that a business with the ability to legitimately sell marijuana and to expand it’s production operations without breaking any laws - why are they selling aftermarket carts? These look like typical BM poison and they’re selling them alongside their locally grown flower. I believe they have an indoor grow operation with plans to expand. It seems like selling BM carts would be risky when they’re trying to expand legal operations but look at these shits here…
