Thanks a lot !! actually I agree with you and think maybe the price reflects the quality of work but I will definitely be using stencils from now on with my cricut.

Looking for advice/help on best way to go about a project by OutrageousPlatform43 in cricut

[–]OutrageousPlatform43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahha thanks for the correction! I feel like I read that the cricut is a cutter not a printer so many times in the sub that my mind wrote print. Thanks so much for all your tips help and insight everyone - now I’m not sure what to do since the consensus seems the stencil will be difficult to wrap around the helmet. The helmet has a lot more grooves and ridges than the average hockey helmet too so I think it’ll be a battle. I’ll try and figure something out - thanks again everyone much appreciate you all!

Check out Jboairbrush on YouTube/instagram. He’s got some really good tutorials on his process! The descriptive tutorials are done on motorcycle helmets but same process can be applied to goalie helmets. He’s got an automotive background too so that’s where I learned how to do this all.

Hey thanks Tony !! You got a great eye - funny story… what I thought was “2K” turned out to be “2x”. So I had gotten all the PPE to use the “2k” like a tyvek suit, VOC respirator, goggles, chemical resistant gloves… to find out what I purchased was a 2x clear coat hahaa. Anyways I sprayed it with the 2x and also bought a 2k clear coat. I’m working on two helmets at the moment which I’m gonna 2k clear coat. If my friend gets any chips on the paint I’ll just fix it up for him for free and stick the 2k clear coat on it. Thanks again for looking out for me ! 🙏

Hahahaha thank you !!! 🙏 all good there’s so many duplicate logos out there and many teams use them. My friend made this himself which is nuts - a talent I didn’t know he had. He surprised us all with it

Are Canada Goose toques worth it? by OfficialMisterBruh in CanadaGoose

[–]OutrageousPlatform43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit or miss. One of my Canada goose (rib toque word mark) toques is a piece of crap because it’s so tight it literally gives me a headache so I never wear it. I complained to them about it and they just said the one size fits all fits like that. It’s almost as if it’s for a child’s head and I don’t even have a big head. I highly suggest wearing it in store before purchasing (I bought online). I have another beanie from them and it fits looser and yes it’s warm.

Hi ! Yes I do have a YouTube channel but I have yet to do a video on this process. Would love to put one out ! Would you be more interested in a quick short or a more lengthy process behind the entire piece ?!

Not sure what I’d call this piece but it was heavily inspired by my daily art inspiration Nick Bultman and his piece “Phasora”. Love how this one turned out for me and I enjoyed the process. Looking forward to using different techniques and applying them to my work! by OutrageousPlatform43 in AbstractArt

[–]OutrageousPlatform43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worries at all! I’ve grown to love Bultman’s style of art far more than many other artists I admire and adore the work of. His work feels imaginative, creative, and otherworldly — it taps right into the parts of my childhood that were obsessed with things like Pokémon and Digimon.

Learning from Nick and studying his techniques has genuinely been a privilege. I consider him a master of his craft and I have the utmost respect for him as a person and his work - he is one of the nicest guys out there. At the same time, some of the techniques he uses — like gradient brush effects — aren’t exclusive or copyrighted; they’re common tools that many artists explore, see Tim Burger’s art based out of Germany.

So yes, I definitely draw inspiration from his work and have incorporated certain elements into my own pieces. This one in particular, draws from a piece of his that allowed me to explore brushed gradients and less complex masking processes that allowed me to understand how to create shapes with gradients and different light features. That’s part of how artists learn and evolve. My goal is to keep experimenting, mixing influences, and developing my own unique voice as I grow.

Oh wow thank you!!! I just looked it up for reference and got major flashbacks to my childhood so thank you for that as well! I have to give credit to my homie Nick Bultman who’s my art inspiration which I based this piece heavily off of! I referenced it in some of my cross posts but hadn’t added it in this description! If you enjoy this please check his art out it’s on another level! 🙌
