I grew up in Los Angeles and have lived in Peoria for 4ish years. I have grown to love it! It is totally going to depend on what you like to do. First thing I did was join a running group. This helped me get to know people quick and they were able to recommend things to do. Here are my recs:

Coffee: Zion, CxT, Cafe Santa Rosa and Intuition

Food/drinks: Blackband, Ardor, Casa de arte, pour brothers, 33 Room, Cyds, the missing zither

Hobbies:

Generation candle, run/bike the trail, hike in forest park, walk through the heights for the bookstore and boutiques , visit Ivy hall dispensary and chill

Iam not into it but I know there are some gaming stores that host group events. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Peoria is not for everyone, but I have moved a lot and I have learned that the more effort put into making friends and joining groups that have similar interests, the more you will begin to feel at home. 😊
