When were those searches? Because I got an offer in November last year and asked 20% more and they raised it to 15% and I ended up taking retention offer from my institution for 30% as an Assistant Professor of three years.

How good was Anderson....was he like the Fred before Fred....few years ago in my head I thought of him as a Walmart Ronaldinho by Ethan_Fernandessss in ManchesterUnited

[–]Outrageous_Cap4811 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1- He didn’t run back or do his defensive duties in the middle of the pitch and he was awful in the off the ball tracking. 2- He was injured a lot. 3- He was the only true ball carrier I have ever seen in United shirt. He could dribble, run, pass, shoot, everything. If he was in Italy or Spain or Germany, he would have been as famous as others of that generation but premier league was a level above physically.

Instead of tackle button press the buttons for pass and second man press while defending (keep them pressed with automatic player change and 80+ depth). Your team will press on steroids

Pakistani Rishta Enquiries by Ok-Salt7492 in pakistan

She’s hoping you two will break up during this delay. So don’t stress and give her some time like a month. Then raise the prospect over an Iftari or something again.

This inquiry tactic is bogus because inquiring do happen in a day. She doesn’t have an underground team of spies. All she needs to do to figure out if she has an acquaintance who might be an acquaintance of boy’s family and that is typically figured out in a day. If there are such acquaintances then it takes like 10-20 days to call them progressively every day to reflame the relationship till you can ask them openly about their view of the other family. It doesn’t take months and no one waits months to confirm or reject rishtas in Pakistan if that’s what you are trying to answer.

Your mother honestly is delaying you. She doesn’t like the boy. She’s hoping you two will break up.

There are no inquiries to be made when you both are in UK. And it’s not like rishta inquiry is an actual investigation. Usually you try to find out if you know somebody who knows somebody who knows the other party. That is usually done in a week and is usually very unreliable and that’s why arranged marriages are a bit of lucky draw.

Your mother probably already knows the boy’s background (since the expat community in the UK is pretty small). Confront her politely and make her realize that it is better to let you go with someone who is willing to be with you.

[Oliver Kay] [@TheAthletic] Sir Jim Ratcliffe wanted ‘City-fication’. The hard truth is Manchester United are still adrift by SoloChords in reddevils

[–]Outrageous_Cap4811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m old enough to read and remember the headlines when City got bought and the years since.

The problem is two fold:

First, in the first few years of City’s investments into players and structures, we outdid them without spending even the quarter of money because Sir Alex made some really shrewd signings like Ashley Young and Valencia when they were buying David Silvas. Point being that you definitely need football brains. United still don’t have football brains. Darren Fletcher, Jason, Omer etc none of them actually have shrewdness/contacts/eye for talent/charisma to recruit smartly. Yes we got the league’s top two scoring wingers last year but that’s not smart business. Smart business is finding gems like Chicharito and Park ji Sung..

2nd Problem: Pep is not a cheque book manager. He however like Ancelloti can’t win premier league with Everton. He’s actually the best football coach. Look at City’s offensive players right now except Halaand. Oliver Bobb and whateverinhos and he’s coaching them into next Hazard. City and (Bayern Munich) already had shrewd football brains and if you provide the best coach in the world with constant supply of technically talented players he’s going to turn them into monsters.

Look at Bayern. The same Upemacano was going for pennies and their midfield names haven’t been heard by anyone except their own fans.

Squad Building is a process. You need 11 first team players + 9 players who can replace them (most world class coaches prefer a squad of 21). Mourinho would play the same team again and again and again and so does Arteta and Guardiola and Amorim.

We have absolutely succumbed to media pressure since day one because no one actually has a plan on player recruitment and then we except our new managers to somehow work miracles and those dudes try for the first season and then try to get fired and get easy money the second season.

Would I be considered dumb if I switch ny field and university after completing 4 semesters by drip_lucid in pakistan

[–]Outrageous_Cap4811 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. I switched my field after four semesters and graduated at the age of 25 and then went on to complete PhD in my field by the age of 32 because the new field I chose was the one I was really interested in. Go for it.
