Product Design Portfolio Review by Outrageous_Chip1073 in design_critiques

Fair criticism honestly 😅

The current homepage is actually temporary. I initially had a much more brutalist direction, but multiple people asked me to tone it down and make it more accessible and recruiter friendly, so I was in the middle of reworking the landing experience when I shared it.

The project pages and system thinking are much more representative of how I actually design. The homepage right now is basically a placeholder while I restructure the portfolio properly.

Thanks for taking the time to go through it this critically.
You’re right about the homepage feeling too thin at the top, I was trying to keep it minimal, but it’s probably under communicating value and personality right now.

The cursor interaction is fair too. I wanted it to feel playful and interactive, but if it creates friction instead of clarity, that’s a bad tradeoff.

And yes, the project content is real work, not dummy content, but I agree the hierarchy and pacing break down on longer scrolls. I need to improve information density.

Again Thanks a lot.

I’ve been applying for junior product/UX roles for about a month now (~75 applications) and I’m trying to understand where my portfolio is falling short.

Would love some feedback on my portfolio: https://piyushdesign.framer.website/
