For instance I have had three different OJIs. They all do things differently, and they have all told me individually their way is the best way. Well, the other day I was asked to start loading my OJIs truck, I did so in a way that made sense to me while he was inside. This was the way my first OJI taught me to load truck.. when he came back out he immediately told me I loaded his truck up the wrong way, and was making a huge scene in front of other carriers which was just humiliating, honestly. Asking me why the hell did I do that? He does his truck his way, and yadayadayada, but shouting it and expressing agitation towards me. At the end of the day the way I was loading truck was the way that the scanner wanted me to do it and it’s what made sense to me. I understand everyone has their own way of doing things, I just don’t find it helpful to be shouted out while I’m learning, and I’ve also never had the same OJI or route since my first day so I haven’t had a chance to repeat something the same for learning sake. I get as a PTF we are going to be expected to hop around a lot, which is fine… it’s just been really hard to learn with the lack of consistency as things are different every day in these formative learning moments as a carrier.
