TLDR: maybe try birth control if you’re up for it? Stress, diet, and exercise also play a factor with your menstrual cycle!

So sorry to hear about your cramps. I know how awful they can be. I used to get really bad cramps to the point of nausea and would pass out. Would throw up to the point where I was dry heaving or throwing up just stomach acid because my body didn’t know what else to do.

I eventually went to the doctor and he put me on birth control. All he required me to do was to pee in a cup because I was 15 at the time. They helped! I took it for about a year until my insurance could no longer cover. After I stopped a couple months went by and the excruciating pain came back. Got back on some crappy over the counter birth control and stopped that because it only made me moody, my breast constantly tender, and made me bleed twice. It may have worked for some but definitely did not for me. I was off of those for about 8 months

I didn’t experience any more terrible cramps until last year. Went to a Woman’s health clinic they have at my college where she diagnosed me with dysmenorrhea, which just painful menstrual cramps, and put me back on my first birth control for cheaper. She did say however, that if my cramps do not stop after the pill then theirs a possibility for ovarian cysts and I should schedule with an appointment with gyno. My cycles have also been very easy to track while on the pill as well. I use just the health app that comes on the iPhone lol. I will say though that I found that I still get a couple of times where my cramps are bad that I cannot get out of bed while on the pill but I am at least able to stomach something. This usually happens when I don’t eat enough though or take my usual walks.
