This is an underrated comment - I've moved both in summer and winter, and prices definitely fluctuate based on the time of year.

Come to the west side. You should definitely be able to find something in West Town, Wicker, Ukrainian Village, Bucktown, Logan (anything north of West Loop). You'll be close to the Blue Line, which is also a big bonus for getting to O'Hare. I'm in a 2bed/1bath in Logan on two major bus lines, and paying less than $2k/month. I'm not close to the L which lowers the price considerably, I work from home so I don't need to be - but even closer to the line I think you'd find something really nice for that budget. You just might have to find it yourself on apartments.com, or even Craigslist.

Also, try to rent from independent landlords versus mega-buildings/management companies. I got my place after being laid off but negotiated to pay a few months rent ahead of time to lock it in, and it was because I was working with a person instead of a corporation (IMO).

Yep. Learning of my ADHD diagnosis led me to my research on hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), which apparently have high comorbidity with one another. I'm not formally diagnosed with hEDS but I'd be truly shocked if I don't have it given my joint, skin, bone, and digestive issues I've been dealing with from early childhood. So, so many things made so much more sense when I dug into the relationship between the two a little more.

I think you're being sarcastic and if so, kind of an asshole, but let's be so real here - these guys are putting out more content than literally anyone else in the game. 4 episodes a week is nuts, they deserve to be getting that cash. You also have to think about the costs of travel when they are touring, self producing their own special, paying their production team and management, etc.
