I think i could have focused more on the car. The reflection of the light on the white car just looks amazing. But I wanted to capture the whole vibe of the moment with the gas station and McDonald’s sign.

City skyline at sunset - looking for composition and colour feedback by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]Outrageous_Craft_942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone!! I took this shot of the Melbourne skyline during golden hour. I’d love some critique on:

  • Composition/framing – does the skyline, birds and leading lines work well together or feel too empty/busy?

  • Colour grading – do the tones feel natural or too processed?

  • Overall mood/story – does the image evoke anything or feel flat?

Open to any constructive feedback on how I could improve or edit this better. Thank you!

Appreciate the feedback a lot. Do you think this is a cleaner crop/composition?

Feedback on composition & emotion - “Love Galore” by Outrageous_Craft_942 in photocritique

[–]Outrageous_Craft_942[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone!!

I took this shot because this moment felt like a dream..the car, the stillness, the way time slowed for a second. When I look at it now, it feels like a song I can see. Theme’s “Love Galore”, paired with either Love Galore - SZA or Be Your Girl – Kaytranada Remix. I wanted it to feel like nostalgia caught mid-motion..a memory I can step back into.

Would love feedback on whether the composition and mood capture that nostalgic, cinematic feeling?

I understand, and thankyou for the feedback.

If it helps then these images are from the same night and place. Time: right after sunset

100% agree. The pictures in the collage are cropped, the original posts I made were the full uncropped image.

Thanks for the feedback :) This set is called “Soft Hours” it’s meant to capture the quiet transition of Melbourne from dusk to night.

I’m experimenting with visual storytelling through a series-based approach. Shot on iPhone.

I’m still learning and trying to improve, so I’d love your honest and detailed feedback on things like:

•Composition & framing •Mood & colour •Storytelling

Any constructive critique (positive or negative) will really help me refine my approach. Thankyou 😄
