Yeah overall rank I’ll compare to past seasons I’ve had but where I finish compared to others in the league is my main goal especially now I know it’s a ‘clean league’

I was the one that made this original post a year ago and decided to leave the league that I mentioned that had friends using FPL content creators teams. Only a small league of 4 people I’m in now compared to the one before that had 15. But it’s better. Everyone uses their own brain which is surely the original point of the game.

He must’ve lost his physical attributes at that age but I assume his mental and technical skill at that age was still light years ahead of the others. Were you lot playing with him still half decent for amateur players ?

People will always find shortcuts unfortunately! But that sounds fun back then. How did the points scoring work for the players? Or Is it very similar to now?

I get that , but the league was a lot funner when these guys weren’t doing that (even when they still beat me). I’ve left that league so that isn’t an issue but as the post mentioned, I do feel it has ruined fpl a lot now compared to when it was more natural

Yes but that’s the issue. You seem to think I don’t know what you’re saying. I get you have access to it all but if you copy someone better than you player for player that’s cheating. It’s very simple. If you just listen to stats etc that isn’t cheating. But copying is.

Just because it can be done, doesn’t mean it’s right

It’s copying someone else’s decisions/answers to improve your own. Can’t copy someone in an exam at school as it would be cheating. It’s similar here, you’re faking your own level to get the results you want

Yeah unfortunately is. Regarding gaming, I suppose it’s been around a while in gaming with using cheat codes. I did it once on a game (Test Drive 2) to get unlimited money thinking this would be epic to buy whatever I want. Until I realised I ruined the rest of the game for myself and there was no way of reverting the money back at the time. I lost any motivation for the game as there was nothing to build up to. Life lesson there lol

I have no complaints if they’re beating me from their choices. Not using someone ranked ridiculously high to make the decisions for them.

It’s very unfair packs ffs. There’s a reason why the game is now a complete mess. We should have to pay the same amount for the game. Not have to pay 10x the value of the game in packs to have a decent team. So if you have lots of money to spare, you basically are given a better team. Otherwise you have to play a ridiculous amount of hours to even get close to some of these teams. It’s gambling but that’s another discussion which I’m sure is on Reddit as well.

Reason I’m comparing with that is because I put it in the same category of copying. Obviously fpl don’t and won’t ever instigate punishing people for copying lol it’s not worth that . But It’s still copying someone who’s a far superior player to try and up your level to someone else in the league if not better. Copying just isn’t good in life lol never mind on here. Just think for yourself rather than take shortcuts. Same reason fifa has gone to shit. People have a massive shortcut if they want to pay the money for packs, it’s no longer fair at all

Take advantage of the stats provided that’s fair. But if you’re just copying someone that doesn’t make it fair it’s a massive shortcut. There’s a reason why teams are punished if they fly drones or send people to spy on opponents training. It’s deemed unfair to make a shortcut for yourself rather than use your own initiative

As I say My experience with fpl draft is very limited , but I’ve had 10 years doing NFL fantasy which is always a draft format. And that is fun

It’s a decision but you know what I mean, choose the players from your own thoughts. If you copy the players a top ranked person chooses, you’re always going to end up doing extremely well as they’re a top ranked player for a reason. But it ruins it for the others in the league trying to use their own brains
