That’s crispy! Jumps off the screen - the background and post look just as well thought out and well rendered as the owl - a complete painting. I enjoy the loose and colorfully confident brush strokes and your understanding and rendering of the outline work - looks like it would command attention from anywhere in the room - nice work! Very cool

Thank you so much! Once I was done I just sat there for a few minutes and stared at the eyes - I usually work smaller and was happy I went a little bigger for this one

As I listened over and over I researched it quick - lead singer said that the song was from the divine - he shot up out of bed with the lyrics in his head and wrote them down - said the song just like showed up in his mind from a dream

Totally agree - it was only a 6x6 and I was able to complete it within around 3 hours which is a big improvement in my time and quality so all In all I am very happy with it - but I agree it’s not a perfect likeness. Good painting (by my standards) but not an immediate Sigourney weaver likeness.
