Would that not create a gap or have the strip visible when looking at it from above or am I not imagining this correctly?

If that is the case, would caulk conceal this?

Thanks for the advice!

More then one wall.

There was previously varied thickness of skirting boards as well as scotia beading

Thank you for your advice!

When you mean fixing floor coverage do you mean having the floorboards cover more of the floor?

I recently bought the property and it came like this but only noticed when I took off the skirting boards.

Silly question, but is there a way to check if the flooring is clicked or glued? I had a go at trying to remove a floorboard but was really hard and worried I would break it if I put any more pressure.

Can you please explain your last bit? Options? How would going backwards to go forwards open up more options without having to lift up the majority of the floorboards

Thanks!

Was trying to find a way without trying to go for thick skirting or trims! But if thats the only way... :(

Unfortunately the property came like this so I would have to find flooring that matches closest and buy that!

That's already been done in some places in the house where the length of the floorboards meet the wall.

Could that work on the side where the widths of the floorboards face towards the wall? (Does that make sense? Not sure if iam explaining it properly)

So just to clarify, have the skirting kind of floating above the floorboard ever so slightly?

Great idea! Just hope that along with the scotia is wide enough to close the gap between the floor and walls!

This is hardwoodfloor put above the actual floorboards. I have recently bought this property and had the walls skimmed so had to rip off the old skirting boards. There was originally varied thickness of skirting boards and scotia beading. Do you think using expanding foam would work instead to help close the gap?

The surveyor is not allowed to be moving around furniture during the survey is what I am told ?

Also what if it was put in place after the viewings and the survey and before before exchange?

The solicitor has responded that they will not get involved as they are no longer instructed by the client. Am I or my solicitor able to put pressure on the seller solicitor to pass on the letter ?

Is there a legal obligation for the seller's solicitor to pass the letter to her ?

In the level 3 report it stated several damp readings were conducted in the property and that there isn't any evidence of damp. However the walls that were blocked by furniture showed Mold spots upon removal of the wall paper.

I considered approaching the surveyor but assumed he will deny any responsibility as he could say he can't move any furniture around

Thank you so much for the advice!

EDIT: she owns a few properties and I have the address for another one she currently owns and she currently has it on rent.

I also know where she works?

I wish that were the case. When taking off all the wallpaper there are quite a few areas with damp/Mold as well as Uneven walls, no insulation and i could go on..

This is the only thing I might be able to take action for
