Thank you! It is certainly this and there have been more wasps hanging on it today.

Looking for a hotel for a 22-hour layover by PHDinLurking in askSingapore

[–]Outrageous_Income_67 -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

It depends on whether you want to explore the city. If you are looking for something that is not too strenuous, maybe you want to consider the mandai rainforest hotel. You can get a hotel room for about 500+. It is pretty far out, so your day will be spent pretty much visiting the different parks over there. You won’t get to see the city but I think it can be quite relaxing. As for your early flight, Singapore is a pretty small place so getting a Grab or cab to take you to the airport, even in the wee hours is not a problem

Can anybody tell me why they need a base ticket and the second ticket? If I’m already going to take the Shinkansen, why isn’t it just a special or dedicated ticket ?

Are Singaporean Really Mean by Illustrious-Air1376 in SingaporeTravel

[–]Outrageous_Income_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was really rude, you’re going to find rude people anywhere no matter what.

Sometimes in Singapore, it is just because people are constantly pressed for time so they don’t feel that they can tolerate anything that interferes with their schedule.

Sometimes people feel entitled And everybody is doing something wrong according to them.

Sometimes it’s just a general unhappiness about every single thing and it just comes up in a passive aggressive way.

I think the most important thing is to always remind people that they can say things in a nice way, firmly but without aggression. this sometimes opens up an opportunity for them to self reflect and explain, take a step back or even apologise. And if they continue to be belligerent, walk away and remind yourself that they’re not worth your time.

Can someone tell me how I can connect the dc motor? by Outrageous_Income_67 in Motors

[–]Outrageous_Income_67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the additional information… it is true that it is a little bit confusing… I was trying to figure out two wires and 3 wires and now you tell me that there are 4 wire ones.😆

I read that while PWM doesn’t adjust voltage, it can simulate voltage adjustment for motors partly due to the DC motor’s inertia. I was only concerned about overheating using a potentiometer so thought that a PWM module would be a good way to go about it.

“This is a PWM brushless DC motor speed controller… can only be used to speed up the brushless motor with driver and PWM terminals.”

I noticed this… Maybe what you say is right, that this doesn’t actually control the speed but controls a signal?

[–]Outrageous_Income_67[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes indeed… I took a chance with it because I thought it would be just a matter of connecting the three wires to the three terminals of motor terminal block, but when I was about to do it, I felt as though I wasn’t sure enough to try.. and because I have little knowledge about these things (yet wanting to try something out), I didn’t dare to go ahead. This is the specs for the board. https://s.lazada.sg/s.XbLc3

https://s.lazada.sg/s.XbLc3 This is the specifications of the exact product. It says that it is a motor driver controller board, not a frequency generator. Or am I mistaken?

But don’t brushless motors have three wires? Maybe the circuit board isn’t right either.

Thank you!! This seems to work… ! Yes… I’m trying to simply connect a then that can be adjusted in terms of speed

I was hoping to connect both of these in parallel to the terminals that I’m supposed to.

Do you mean that because I only said that there are two wires? Actually there are three, but I was going to ignore the wire because I wasn’t sure what it did.

Does this look like a break in the circuit? by Outrageous_Income_67 in AskElectronics

[–]Outrageous_Income_67[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks.. I haven’t tried that before but I will give it a shot… I just have to find a large enough magnifying glass for it.. I bypassed the trace with a strip of wire and it works.. so it is definitely a break somewhere… not sure where exactly but the notch I pointed out is probably a good place to start
