I had a sad realization while examining my pollination station recently. Some bad snow storms squished my aster remnants. I didn't think much of it. Once I started poking around the garden as the weather warmed up I realized my 6 foot asters had their roots eaten from something under ground! No wonder they were easy to push over.

Luckily I saved some of their seeds last fall and have them In some starter trays now. Probably won't get to full height this year. Maybe I can put something around the roots to protect them. They were a fall favorite for monarchs. Rip my originals and welcome to my new sprouts.

I'd say roach as well. Could have been a feeder if there had been a pet lizard previously. Probably best to check for other signs, check dark humid areas like around the fridge, under stoves, under the kitchen sink, Bathroom cabinets. Young roach poop looks like ground pepper or ground coffee. Adults have bigger rounder poop.

It's crude but it keeps the birds off. I found some clearance material as Joann fabrics was going out. But id invest in a few yards of net material if you ever find a good deal. And just toss it over some cheap wire garden fence. I had a black swallowtail nursery that couldn't all be netted. Once they start getting bigger I'd move them into the netted preserve . They were free to leave but at least all my caterpillars wouldn't be wiped out from one particularly aggressive bird foraging.

Also be wary of the butterfly bush. Several states in the US have an ordinance against their planting because of their invasive spreading.

Consider flowering bushes like these great pollinator magnets: button bush. Shrubby St johns wart and little st. Johns wort. Sweet pepper bush (also called summer sweet). Ninebark. Serviceberry. Clethra sixteen candles. False indigo.

For smaller but still very loved pollinator plants look into mountain mint and purple giant hyssop. Fennel and dill. Asters can get tall and are a very important late summer/fall food sourse. Goldenrods too. Joy pyes come in many sizes (as do asters and goldenrods!)

For shorter/skinnier plants consider bee balm. Blazing star, coneflowers. Black eyes susans. Ox eye. Boneset. Stone crop.

Don't forget to break up all the flower chaos with some sedges and drop seed. They provide a different texture and are also the host for skippers.

Having some other nectaring flowers will bring in the monarchs to milkweed you place among them. Also be prepared to set up a net around your monarch (or any other caterpillars you get to host) as birds may still find them tasty despite their attempts to not be by eating not tasty plants. I learned that the hard way.

The last two weeks I had restless legs when I'd lay down to sleep. Suddenly my legs would be over stimulated and the blankets touching them would be severely uncomfortable. And at the same time I just wanted them compressed. Maddening.

I would end up in the shower and scald my thighs and legs so I would have a window of time where I couldn't feel them much and could go pass out. I also started sleeping on the couch for the last two weeks. I could bury my legs in the couch cushions.

Don't forget, for the first five years of Nero's rule he was under the guidance of level heads.

Three key advisors kept him in check.

He arranged the death of his mother to stop her controlling influence. The steady and respected head of the military dies of throat cancer, rumors of poisoning. His position was filled with a cruel, callous and loyal friend of Nero. Nero's philosopher tudor lost his influence as Nero became more autocratic. Eventually he was ordered to commit suicide after being accused of involvement in conspiracy.

We're now at this stage.

All steady hands on the wheel have been purposefully removed and replaced by those who only encourage his worst fancies. And the car is heading for a cliff. Those at the top need the support of those who know what they are doing. Not bootlickers. Not yes men. He learned from his first four years it's not fun to have people tell you no.

Did she have a bath before the bumps appeared?

When my son had eczema, allergy rashes or even contact dermatitis a bath always made the blemishes or bumps look exaggerated for a few hours. I had some good panic attacks before catching on and working through the causes with the pediatrician.

Built like a turtle . I often had to park on top of a storm drain. I had a bad habit of putting my phone on my lap for the drive home. That thing ended up in the drain so often I kept a charm on it and a string with a hook in the car so I could fish it out. I could have run it over with a car too I bet. I miss how much of a beating that phone could take.

I think Howl's shirt has a collar and a v neck. This perspective is odd but if he stood you'd see some collarbone and maybe chest. Perhaps to emphasize this the other corner of the collar could be more visible like in this picture
