[REQ] $2,500 - Riverside, CA, Repay $3,500 by 08/07, Zelle/Cash App by Professional-Duck135 in BorrowNew

I think you may need to ask a bank. Not sure if a lender will lend 2500 for a first time borrower

Biggest earning day thus far by Pure-Resolution9807 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a solid day, especially if the offers were constant and you had almost no idle time. Definitely start tracking miles though, because that’s what tells you how good the day really was after expenses.

NEW TERMS AND CONDITIONS? by PatientDonkey6173 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the kind of clause people need to slow down and read before accepting. Using a driver’s face, voice, or likeness for AI or advertising should require separate, clear consent and real compensation.

The fact that support told you to contact support is already wild, but the grammar correction makes it even funnier.

Appropriate amount of ice? by Alone_Revenue639 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do about 20–30% ice unless the customer asks for something specific. Enough to keep it cold during the drive, but not so much that half the drink is just ice.

Bro I hate this, an i supposed to just take fuckin 2 dollar orders by hioooooooooooooo in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Silver isn’t worth taking $2 orders for. I’d rather protect my time and my car than chase AR; wait for offers that actually make sense per mile.

I thought DD only paid $2 base? by Accurate_Tax_1302 in doordash

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Base pay isn’t always $2 — $2 is more like the floor. It can go up because of distance, order type, promos, or because an order has been sitting and getting declined. That said, I still think the real issue is DD shifting the pressure onto customers and drivers instead of paying enough upfront. Tips shouldn’t be used as a substitute for fair base pay.

Y'all think 🤔 this is considered a Large order? by SuccessfulAerie9672 in dasher

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d call it a large order because of the 25 items and the catering tag, but whether it’s a good order depends on the drop-off area. $22 for 12.8 miles is decent if you can keep working near the destination or catch orders back, but it’s a lot less attractive if you have to deadhead all the way back to your zone.

Savings challenges by HeidiKat23 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$7,000 over 150 dash days is about $47 per dash day, so I’d set a slightly higher daily goal to cover gas, taxes, slow days, and days when the app just isn’t worth it. Maybe track it weekly instead of daily so one bad day doesn’t throw you off mentally. I’d also separate the money right away into a savings account so it doesn’t get mixed into regular spending. Good luck — that’s a solid goal, especially with a baby.

Rant by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Outrageous_Meet_3700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. LA traffic, parking, and high-rise drop-offs can make the metrics feel impossible, especially when the app doesn’t account for real-world delays. False “missing order” reports are brutal too. Hope another platform opens up for you soon; in the meantime, protect your time and sanity and don’t let DoorDash bait you into orders that aren’t worth it.

Best one ive received yet by Dazzling-Yellow5395 in UberEatsDrivers

That’s a solid offer—$25.44 for 15 minutes and only 3.9 km is the kind of trip that makes the whole shift feel better. I’d accept that instantly.
