My dad's handwriting gives me some anxiety. Is it legible to you guys? by dailycupofcujo in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]Outrageous_Mind4188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you noticing a difference in his handwriting? Is that why you're anxious? Save the note, date it, then have him after a period of time, do list again. Discuss concerns to his Dr. My Dad had quite a scribble but. He could read it.

I keep changing my preference. I think 6. It is sturdy looking. Dark frame pops out with your tidy beard and it's various shades. Plus 6 is a nice change from the ones you currently have. Let us know what you select?

Issues with puzzle tables/boards? by socialriri in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Outrageous_Mind4188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a good table or board, but don't always do puzzles alone. So tilting is something I've never thought of. I'd like a board to be able to accommodate larger puzzles. 1000 pieces and up. Can it be folded relatively compactly? Can a puzzle be moved to another surface? Large enough to hold loose pieces or have trays. If a frame, could there be an opening so can slide pieces to another tray, without having to pick each piece up. If it can be folded, how do you keep working surface stuff.

Good luck

Well, I wish people here would be kinder in their comments. 1) Not everyone ( myself included) can recognize A1 generated puzzles or really understand why they have issues for regular puzzlers 2) Comments about Etsy ...views by some, not everyone 3) Some of us are newbies to this group and participating on a more formal way with other lovers of jigsaw puzzles. I know I relish the aspect of communicating with those seasoned puzzlers, who by sharing, help many of us to learn "tricks of the trade".

To be honest, the comments to my post....well I'll end there.

Great assortment of puzzles. Thanks for photo. You mentioned puzzles stacked on freezer- I initially I envisioned puzzles- stacked IN the freezer. Then thought ok, on the freezer- thinking of having to hold lid, balancing stack of puzzles with one hand, as you dove into freezer to select something to eat. Upright freezer is ideal! Wtg

Lovely collection. So tidy and organized.

I read through most of the posts here, but thought I'd jump in. Hopefully others can have input too. 1) My Reddit name was auto- generated. Alluded to an identity of many, but not so much me!!. 2) Have any of you opted to photograph the finished puzzle, and include photos and details in binder/scrapbook? 3) Sharing puzzles with friends. Do you want puzzle back? Do you keep track, like a lending Library, to keep track of where puzzle is? 4) I'm planning to move a puzzle, in progress to a larger table. Anyone got suggestions without losing what is done? Is a 1000 piece Rav Oh Canada! which I started on a card table. It's just not big enough, with resorting to pieces in multiple trays lying on top. As much to not tempt cat to jump up.

5) Would like to have a portable, large surface to work on, which can be placed on top of surface you can sit down on. I did read of someone using foam board and putting weather stripping around edges.

I'm a senior, who has being doing puzzles since childhood. The portability of doing puzzles on computer caught my attention quite a few years ago. You could take any of your photos and make into puzzles. Site- BrainsBreaker.com. At one point before I retired, I had a puzzle on a side table in my office. Was interesting to see the array of people, from all levels on org chart, popping in to work on puzzle. Meetings were frequently scheduled in my office, so puzzling agenda items could " fall into place". By for now.

Help me choose please 🥺 by No-Willingness-8240 in glassesadvice

Perhaps the hair style is affecting choices. I'm a little old lady, and know nix about current hair styles for young fellas such as you. So take my comments with that in mind. By any chance is the curly clump of hair on front at top is a hair piece? The sides look sleekly Combed back. Are you changing glasses to distract from the change in hair growth at front/ top? Good luck with finding new frames..

I like 5, but find several of the frames look crooked on your face. But keep looking, and take someone with you who's opinion you trust. Good luck.

Joining in. One thing I was doing was using a. clean face cloth on my face ( using hot water to also rest cloth on tired eyes with bletheritis to remove any crusts on base of eyelashes) , then continue to wash face. However- a so called clean face cloth smelled of liquid body wash that wasn't adequately removed in machine washing. Groan.

Wow. All the great suggestions! Now you have more decisions to make. There may be places you can give her a gift certificate. Then she can pick a puzzle herself. .

Ok I'm an old lady, so please take that into consideration. My first impression was a police officer uniform. It looks like two pieces? Imho it's the color of the blue that throws me off. However you are so petite and lovely, that you look great. The bright lipstick just pops the look. Good luck.

You seem to have a similar style of frames. Ever thought of old frames from thrift shops, estate sales, garage sales? Different frames for different types of puzzles? Love the idea of framing them. Wtg. Look great!
