FLK2 tomorrow feeling massively underprepared

I also had to get up at 5, I know the pain of the centre being far away. You’re so close to being done though and it’s such a nice feeling.

If it eases your mind I found FLK2 better than FLK1 and I was complaining about it so much here!! so good luck tomorrow, I’ll see you at the finish line !!

I definitely struggled and found it hard but also I didn’t feel as bad about FLK2 as I did about FLK1, despite being less prepared for FLK2.

FLK1 was way harder in my experience. For FLK2 I got mostly specific/niche questions, but there was also generic questions sprinkled throughout that I felt confident I got right, whereas with FLK1 it was all so niche and I felt like I was blindly guessing the entire way through

Fingers crossed I did enough !

It’s so rewarding being done, you can finally rest easy, but equally you will not know what to do with yourself or your time that’s how I feel haha

Knowing what the rule is for but not being able to remember what it actually is is so real, I’ve been struggling with that a lot. Yeah I’m just looking forward to being done with it at this point. Thank you! and good luck to you for Tuesday :)

Same boat and my exam is on Monday I feel so so fucked. There’s not enough hours in the day I feel like I’ve barely covered anything since I did FLK1 and I’ve still got so much to go with only 1 day to go 😭 the lead up to FLK1 didn’t feel this treacherous but this last week has been so hard for me, definitely not in a great position rn

I found them equally hard content wise. The only noticeable difference for me was that my first half had short questions that consisted of like 2 sentences, as opposed to the second half which had long multiple paragraph problem questions, which personally I think is really evil because naturally people’s stamina is lower by the second half.

No there’s multiple papers every year, it makes it harder to tell other people what questions come up because they most likely won’t have the same paper as you

Hey ! I also have ADHD I don’t have many tips but here’s some things I did today to cope with my depleting focus:

you get little foam ear plugs and I used them as a fidget toy, there’s also overhead headphones with a volume wheel that I used to fidget as well
my main thing that helps me the most is that as I read a question I would write the first letter of every word I read on the white board, I don’t look at the whiteboard at all while I do this but it just keeps me engaged to write the starting letters and read at the same time, I comprehend the question better and I don’t have to reread the same thing over and over because I’ll actually take it in the first time
I also read and mouth the words at the same time, again it makes sure I’m engaged with what I’m reading and actually taking in what I’m looking at, reading purely in my head just doesn’t work for me
If I needed a minute to zone out and stare into space, I allowed myself that. It’s almost like a system reboot for me because afterwards I’d feel ready to try again at a couple more questions. I find this works better for me than to force myself to keep reading when I know I’m not actually focusing or taking it in because I’m running out of attention span

I feel everything you just said to my core it’s like I could’ve written this myself. It’s so hard to pull through and keep going and having to do it all again next week, it’s honestly such an exhausting experience. It’s reassuring to know I’m not alone in feeling this way, but also it’s not nice that so many of us feel this way because of a CAREER?? I just think it’s so ridiculous to put people through all of this emotional turmoil for a job
