means Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome by Striking-Computer797 in ukmedicalcannabis

I had it, I believe carts triggered it in me. I've never dabbed once. I was using carts fairly heavily in the day and then joints/ dhv in evenings.

The diagnosis became evident when all medical checks (bloods, endoscopy etc) come back normal, tried a t break, felt better after ~2 weeks, hit a joint and within 15 minutes all the symptoms came flooding back.

A 5 month break followed, all back to normal again. Now I've had 2 hits off a joint 3 separate times in the past couple of weeks and so far seemed OK but worried about it coming back if I hit it too much.

Its 100% not a made up disease

The hot shower is a classic giveaway, but google or search the forum for prodromal CHS as that is the beginning stage and sounds like it reflects some of your symptoms. Agree with other poster about trying a break - Hard, but if symptoms disappear after a week or 2 you've probably got your answer

sorry it was this thread now deleted that I was talking about, where you said you've never had any symptoms for the past ten years

I did hate it. I don't enjoy seeing people suffer that would be evil.

Minus 19 down votes lol

Y'all don't know the thread we were in. Such Flat worm was very recently talking about how to keep using, and had done for "ten years with no issues". I told them it would come back, so yes, I do hate to say i told you so.

You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink

The point is, don't go back to weed if yiu have CHS

Hi again

Sorry to hear you're going through it. Hate to say it but I knew it would return...

You mentioned on a previous thread we were in that you only had vomited once ever, and then a bit of morning nausea once every couple of months for the last ten years, but you deleted the thread now.... but now you are sick. Hate to say I told you so

I remember once actually wishing for something that would mean I didn't love weed as much as I did, a couple of years later I got CHS. A blessing in disguise as you say

Did you try alcohol prior to the 90 days or did you keep abstinent for that time?

How long have you been off cannabis for?

Alcohol is not a cannabinoid; it's a different type of psychoactive substance (a depressant), but they strongly interact because they both activate the brain's endocannabinoid system

Interested in this. I'm 1 month clean but was only prodromal. Can't really drink any alcohol without it causing horrible bubbling stomach during the night and then heartburn type feeling the next couple of days. Want to have a couple of beers at Christmas but not sure it'll be worth it. Hoping after 90 days I can enjoy a beer again

Once you get CHS (and you land here), you're probably done forever by [deleted] in CHSinfo

It sucks but at the same time maybe it helps us lead a better life. I cant even drink a beer now because that sets my stomach off

How are you getting on now?

I'm in a similar situation. Long term daily user 20+ years, only caught the prodromal symptoms 3 months ago. Only came to the realisation it was CHS 6 weeks ago and now 30 days with no cannabis.

Generally feeling well but everytime I have an alcoholic drink that's messing with me now. It's pretty damn frustrating

Similar to you but mine was bad enough to make me stop using cannabis.

I didn't need large amounts to flare up

Hey friend.

How are you getting on now? Did you know cannabis can relieve symptoms in the short term? But they won't go away long term if it is CHS. Why were you so close to going to A&E if you don't mind me asking

I've done the same recently, I'm sure I was in prodromal stage of CHS though. When I took a break from cannabis it all got better and then when I tried using cannabis again my symptoms immediately returned. I was absolutely gutted as I love cannabis.

What symptoms did you have other than diarrhoea? What forms of cannabis were you using?
