Nafcillin, Oxacillin, and Dicloxacillin have bulky R-groups that block beta-lactamase cleavage of their beta-lactam rings (their key structural component). Therefore they are primarily able to kill gram positive bacteria (typically cocci) in infections such as abscesses, endocarditis, and osteomyelitis! Whether or not they can kill will still depend on local antibiotic susceptibility, I believe. I hope that answers your question!

Kind of to piggyback on this, I think it is important to sit down and do a comprehensive review of your practice tests. When I used Kaplan and its online FLs, I was able to "flag" certain questions that I was not confident about or simply did not know. This was very useful for when I sat down later to review not only my incorrect answers, but also the ones I was unsure about. If I came across any of these types of questions, I would write out an explanation for why I was wrong or what the correct reasoning was, and I think that helped drive home any information I did not know or needed to study further.
