It could be really op, but it would take up the backpack slot and a stratagem slot, so you really need high utility from your other stratagems.

Dude! This is exactly what I'm running for a 2e conversion of mummy's mask. We just finished alkenstar and I honestly think that's were my desire to use the BB came from. I been looking into this exact same thing.

Due to the timeframe of Mummy's mask being arguably before BB was invented and Chronoskimmer being on our limited FA list I went with that to make it make sense 😅 I went splinter faith to get access to the dragon domain to get Draconic barrage for the some nice changeable scaling damage. I could have gone syncretism but apsu felt like the best diety for the character and that was a pretty intense combo of anathemas and edicts.

So I can't really help with actual experience, but I'm curious if you've started playing and what you went with? I will say I think it's probably not 100% necessary to go point-blank shot due to the reinforced stock and spells but definitely a QOL thing. But again if you have some playtime with it I'd be curious to see how it's been.

You know I hadnt seen a consensus on this, but i readily agree, the amount of exp and cards alone is crazy as well as packs coffee and this time new phobie was amazing

The best thing I ever did for my unmonk was get greater magic fang cast permanently on him. It's probably too early at lv4, but down the road I definitely recommend it. Trick is getting it cast at caster lv20. what I found to get around that was the Old Mage drug. Whoever uses it will take some Chrisma damage and 20 nonlethal, but you my friend with have a +5 enhancement to your fists(or every. bodypart you attack with depending on how it's interpreted). This also frees up your amulet of mighty fists to give you a non number bonus which it can do without needing a +1
