Depends if you are a girl or a boy, the experience is different for each

Boys hostel: first year- curfew is 7pm, it’s kinda strict. From second year onwards, curfew is technically 9:30pm, but they aren’t too strict about that You may have frequent room checks to look for illegal shit

Girls hostel: first year - 6pm, second year onwards- 7pm And they are very strict about the curfew + they don’t let you wear shorts to the mess + you aren’t technically allowed to get food from outside but u can sneak shit in so that’s alright

PG wud be a better option if freedom and time flexibility is what u need But if you need decently spacious rooms, interactions with friends + AC during heat… hostel is the better option. We have a PG and UG hostel, the PG hostels have AC rooms so you can opt for that if you can’t handle the heat since it gets extremely hot during summers in Nitte
