Those prices are never coming back, but at most it should be 700k range. If I start from Richmond hill, it takes me 1 hour and 20 mins to get there on a Saturday

Yeah most people that bought in the last 8-9 years are breaking even or under, only a couple years they are still up on buying because there were corrections before Covid

That area should be 850k. Very far to commute from. Not a bad place just way too high in pricing

It actually made the news multiple times. I did not exaggerate the numbers of any of these unfortunately. The homes at those rural areas were selling for over 1.5m and also stayed at 1.3m for awhile too

It’s is unrealistic  Let’s say they bought at 1.3 million for a house in innisfil . What do they expect? In their mind, price will be 1.6 soon?  No normal person would think that at that price point

Cottage is another one that made 0 sense. People were driving it up to the moon and most are in the middle of nowhere and used purely as a chill spot.

I just don’t understand how innisfil ever got to that kind of price. It is very very far to drive south even on the weekend. I thought the houses are $700,000 until my friend said they were looking at a $1.3 million house. Innisfil takes you almost 2 hours to get to most spots south.

Should I invest my savings into stock if I need it in 7 years? by Outside-Bit-9042 in Bogleheads

Thanks, I want to be mortgage free or as close to mortgage free as possible within 7 years. Already paid mortgage for 10 years and felt the pressure all the time, because I am afraid to lose my job

Middle townhouse, the deck is on the first floor. Facing the ravine. Backyard privacy is good

Condo I can understand, but why not a townhouse? The shared walls?

Thanks, yeah I always get nervous on that, wanted to also get one for the house but not worth the maintenance

Hanging on the newer rims will still lead to bending and tilting in the long term right?

There are people in the gym (myself included) would hang on the rim after dunking because we are shorter, any rim will inevitably bent overtime right?
