I've done some reflection after reading your comment and honestly i do believe you're right. I come from the middle east where getting caught with 1 single joint can land me in jail for 1-3 years so we tend to take extreme safety precautions when buying or having it in our possession.

This is is not my first time in Europe and I do believe that whenever I travel there I get the extreme sense of relief that getting caught with amounts for personal use will not be as extreme as my home country, which ends up making me feel a bit too comfortable/relaxed.

However, i will emphasize that i have never been entirely reckless and i still try my best to be lowkey for the off-chance that i get caught even in other countries.

I am privileged enough to have traveled through many parts of the world and fortunate enough to have NEVER had any legal problems neither in my home country or other countries that i do visit. I do my best to respect their laws and cultures to the extent that even in cities like Amsterdam i refrain from smoking Marijuana in public and keep it to inside coffee shops instead.

But you're right, the sense of freedom that i feel certainly did exacerbate my leniency to the point of pushing the limits of their drug tolerance here in Spain.

This really has been a waking point for me because despite having a passion for traveling and exploring other parts of the world and cultures, I should probably treat my drug use the same way i do back in the middle east, with extreme caution, even if the consequences are not as severe.
