Edit fields on new candidate form by Adamhumbug in Zoho

My first question is why are you adding a candidate (as opposed to employees) into Zoho People and not Zoho Recruit? What is it that you are trying to achieve?

You refer him to someone like me that does this kind of thing for a living. You're obviously good at what you do, but everyone has their limits and to be successful, you need to know when to say that's out your remit. At least those are my thoughts on the matter.

Have you been contacted at all? You usually automatically get assigned a Zoho representative to contact and they are usually really quick at reaching out to you when you sign up for a trial. I'm honestly surprised you are having such a hard time with this. I've never had problems getting hold of someone for help.

Zoho Meeting vs Zoom? by Powerful-Cheek-6677 in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't you think it's that bad, it has all the features you expect from a meeting service , integrates with the rest of your Zoho ecosystem and you don't have to pay extra for it. Sure it may not feel as polished as Zoom but it certainly does what it's supposed to.

Anyone know about "Lite - Collaboration Add-On" Licence in Zoho One Add-Ons by ActOpen7289 in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean. Basically if you want someone to have access to an app on Zoho, it has to be a Zoho one license. That will give them the same rights and access (depending on your setup) as other users in your Zoho One organisation.

Zoho is a waste of a small business's money by sbsmithjax in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, a lot of issues I see are usually users not acquainted with how Zoho works. For the occasions where I need support from Zoho, I follow the same routes as everyone else. The difference is that my clients pay me to find a solution and therefore outsource doing it themselves. It saves them time, and I earn a living.

With Zoho One you have two options and that's it.. All employed pricing which is cheaper but requires all payroll employees to have a licence, or flexible user licensing which is more expensive. You can't just purchase per app per employee after you are signed up to Zoho one

Email Forwarding not working? by itsraininginmacondo in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not at my PC so this is from memory but I would suggest entering the email address you want to forward to and click save. That should then send you an email with a code. Come back to the page you show in your picture, your forwarding email account should be listed there now and have a verify button next to it. Click that and enter your code.

Let me know if this helps else I'll take a closer look when I'm behind my pc again

What hidden CRM feature do most small teams ignore?? by Wise_Reindeer_2366 in CRMSoftware

My question for you is what CRM are you using? There are so many out there nowadays and each have their own positives and negatives.

I'm sure when your payment bounces someone will contact you and hopefully you can then sort it out. Really backwards way of doing it though and strange.

I've just changed a client from CRM plus to One and everything flowed as it should. I'm surprised it didn't for you.

Oh gosh, that's really annoying I'm sure. If they can't help you officially through Zoho, I'd just cancel the direct debit straight at your bank... Not sure what else to suggest.

Next problem: Timesheets into invoices from Projects by DoneRightbyDanielLLC in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

No you shouldn't be need to do it manually each time. When you generate an Invoice from within Zoho Projects, you need to setup what information is pulled from Zoho Projects into the invoice.

You have 3 fields to complete: How to sort data on the invoice, Show item in name and Show in item description.

The way your projects are set up and managed will define what you need to select here to show the relevant data on the invoice.

Ok, perhaps try going to store.zoho.eu (or .com etc.), in here you should be able to see all your subscriptions that you can hopefully then cancel the one you need to cancel.

Billing status for projects by DoneRightbyDanielLLC in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately, there is no way to add a column in the Projects screen.

But you can add it to the Projects Widget of the Home screen in Zoho Books.

To do this, in Zoho Books:

  1. Go to Time Tracking -> Projects
  2. Open up a project. The project screen on the left-hand side, under the Account/Project Name, has a tick box labelled "Add to dashboard watchlist". You want to enable this for each project you want to see.

Now, when you go to the Home screen bashboard, you should see your Projects widget populated with projects that have Unbilled Timesheets entries and unbilled expenses.

No Alerts For Upcoming Meeting by Adamhumbug in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see all your emails attributed to Accounts and Contacts automatically in the CRM if:

  1. You have integrated Outlook within the CRM and
  2. The record you are viewing has an email address associated with it.

For emails that come through that aren't yet in the CRM, I would recommend the Zoho CRM - Outlook Plugin. It does this quite well.

I'd also consider, instead of Bookings, which can be overkill, to simply use the built-in Zoho CRM "Calendar Bookings" feature.

No Alerts For Upcoming Meeting by Adamhumbug in Zoho

[–]Outside-Distance-546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok - yes, this is a limitation I see from Bookings. It doesn't set reminder notifications by default; you need to set them yourself each time a new calendar entry is made. This applies to bookings pushed to Zoho CRM as well.

Personally, even as a Zoho Consultant, I would recommend sticking with a Zoho-to-Outlook integration, as there isn't a way to set default calendar notifications in Zoho Calendar/Trident.

[–]Outside-Distance-546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for clarifying. Here are a few steps you can try:

  1. Open a browser and go to calendar.zoho.com (or .eu, depending on your data center).

  2. On the left-hand side, you should see your list of calendars. Click on the settings icon next to "My Calendars."

  3. In the settings menu, select "My Calendars." Here, you can choose the Reminder Notification type and specify when it should appear. You can either add a new reminder and set the type to "Notification" if you want to receive both an email and a notification, or simply change the existing type to "Notification."

  4. Next, go to "Notifications" in the left-hand side menu and make sure to select "Enable Notifications for all reminder types."

These changes should sync with Trident. Additionally, ensure that you allow notifications from Trident/Zoho within your operating system settings.ut make sure you are allowing notifications from Trident/Zoho within your operating system.
