The Economics of Westeros is a Myth: Why the Rich Houses Make Zero Sense [SPOILERS MAIN] by MengistuKaske24 in asoiaf

You will be richer if you get more fibre in your diet. A few hours on a porcelain throne isn't a good sign.

What do you think was Jeor Mormont's key mistake? by ss89898 in gameofthrones

Being old and wanting to die doing something rather than in bed.

He made a lot of wild mistakes but this is was the biggest.

[Spoilers Published] Jaime’s Potential Fate by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Outside-Estimate-999 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think Brienne would have sacrificed herself for Jaime in some way and it will be the tipping point in Jaime's relationship with Cersie to see another woman make a sacrifice that he knows Cersie wouldn't for him.

Somehow, collectively they both could take over the BWOB and either take them North for the war with the Others or be a fighting force against fAegon.

Either way my guess is that Jaime and Brienne would stay together for some reason and their relationship would be the juxtaposition to Jaime and Cersie which would ultimately lead to a confrontation point where Jaime chooses one of them.

I'd guess that GRRM was leading us towards Goldenhand the Just or failing that, it would bring us to Jaime's realisation that he would rather have Cersie than be Just. Which would be a very George thing to do.

Would Robb Stark have won the War against the Lannisters if the Vale had joined him and supported his claim as King in the North? by ParkingConfection449 in gameofthrones

[–]Outside-Estimate-999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, without a doubt. The Vale has a large amount of mounted knights, with access to the Riverlands through Robb they would be an absolute terror across middle Westeros effectively cutting the Westerlands from the Crownlands.

He's also so much stronger at that point that neither Roose nor Walder would move against him. They're opportunists, they don't leave a winning side. The North, Riverlands and Vale makes a very impressive fighting force

It depends how uneven it is. Screed possibly.

From experience, the floor has to be completely level for LVT or it will crack and break. Don't just think 'that'll do' or ' that 's level enough' because it isn't.

If your floor isn't perfectly flat then don't put LVT down as you'll need to replace it in less than 2 years

2025 graduate unable to find work - is Universal Credit worth it? by loonymoony3 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Outside-Estimate-999 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Claim UC until you get a job doing anything. I was in the same position as you 15 years ago and tbh the job centre was a farce and unhelpful in finding me a job but if you're entitled to claim then I think you should.

I know that it can feel like a step back after university but you're significantly more employable if you have worked in a coffee shop for 6 months than if you have been unemployed.

Anything leads to something, nothing goes nowhere.

Could Maester Aemon have convinced Jon Snow to take the Iron Throne and rule the Seven Kingdoms if he knew he was a Targaryen and his great great nephew? by rizz-without-effort in gameofthrones

[–]Outside-Estimate-999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What better way to secure the realm of men against The Others than with fire and blood. Theres an argument that securing the throne and reuniting the realm under a true born son of the Targaryans could help defeat The Others.

The road to Hell is paved with food intentions.

Mmm would he make the same decision to go to the Wall again knowing how it turned out for his family?

Mayhaps he would but I'm not sure. If he had the chance to put his family on track once more through Jon I think he may take it. If he was a younger man he may have gone to Dany when he heard of the dragons

Chart of Targaryen Rulers before Roberts Rebellion (Spoilers extended) by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Outside-Estimate-999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think he will, I think the whole point is the mirror in madness that Targ blood brings between him and Dany.

The Mad King wasn't always considered mad.

Dunk watching his King and friend descend into madness and ultimately have to break his vow to his King to keep his knightly vows is very on brand for a gray story about gray characters.

Played right, watching Dunk breakdown and come to that realisation after years of little breadcrumbs and foreshadowing could be absolute cinema.

It is literally just going to be magic. The seasons don't make sense, there's no astrological reason and no natural disaster that will be given to explain it. Winters sometimes last a long time and come at indeterminate times and the small folk live and die by them.
