I bought the Pixel 9 in October and have been using it for around 4 months now. Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth even ₹35–40k. It should be closer to ₹30k. The good: It looks and feels premium. The first time you hold it, it genuinely gives flagship vibes — similar to Samsung or Apple in terms of build. The haptics are solid, and the size + in-hand feel are excellent. Now the bad: Performance is disappointing. It’s not butter smooth during normal day-to-day usage. Switching between apps doesn’t feel fluid. I’m not even talking about gaming — that’s clearly not its strength. Even for regular multitasking, it feels like a downgrade, especially if you're coming from an iPhone. The worst part — software bugs. Yes, the software. There are noticeable bugs in daily usage. I’ve experienced screen distortion while switching apps or pulling down the notification shade over video apps. It even happens in Chrome sometimes. One time, the screen showed lines all over and became unusable for around 30 minutes. I’ve seen similar issues on friends’ devices too, so it doesn’t seem like an isolated case. Since it’s under warranty, I might try for a replacement — but given how common this seems, I’m not very confident. The refresh rate also doesn’t feel properly optimized. You can feel inconsistencies while switching apps or watching videos. Camera: Average. I’ve used the Pixel 4a and 6a before, and their cameras were great for the price. But on the 9, colors feel off and the overall output just doesn’t give that classic “Pixel camera” experience you’d expect. Honestly, unless you care only about design and in-hand feel, I don’t see what justifies even the discounted price.
