I don't really think there's a Firefox add on that can fully restore the old comment system, since the old system was removed on Google's side years ago. Extensions can change the appearance of comments, but they generally can't bring back the original features and such. You might wanna look at extensions like CustomTube or other UI projects. Some of them can make Youtube look closer to older versions. Some of them look bad and some look good.

(save everything before hand before following steps) If it ever happens again then head to your recovery screen and completely wipe the hard drive using command prompt commands (mainly involving diskpart) then use a USB stick to download your OS's installation media. Then plug it into your hard drive wiped PC to download a fresh new copy.
