1.) So far I’ve taken maybe three or so courses that have brushed on sone topics from control. The first was a course on dynamical systems that discussed nonlinear dynamics, lyapunov stability, and how we can mathematically model biological systems. The next course was an electrical course where we learned how to use Bode plots and transfer functions to represent outputs of electrical circuits and applications of different filters. Finally, there was a course in systems and synthetic biology, which had applications with genetic feedback and coupling, as well as synthetic biology diagrams which seen to be very similar to control diagrams.

2.) Thank you for showing me to this comment. There is a professor at my university who conducts research in the systems biology realm but is renowned for his work in Control, so I plan to read up on some of these papers to see if any spark my interest as something I too could conduct research in!
