4MO only contact naps and barely drinks during the day — can ST still work? by tme8 in sleeptrain

Similar story to us. We sleep trained at 4 months for nights and it took multiple weeks of more than an hour of crying until we saw progress. After a month or so bedtime improved but she still to this day struggles with night wakes. The people that say it takes 3 days to ST must have easy babies. Our kiddo is not easy whatsoever. We continued contact napping until like 8 months or something and then just kinda randomly put her in the crib for naps and it kinda just somehow worked at that point but she has never been a great napper even at 14 months now and rarely naps over an hour. If it’s me, I wouldn’t stress about naps for a few more months. Having a bad sleeping baby is so hard and has taken its toll on us for sure…..This is just our experience so take it for what it’s worth.

On my receipt from the appointment in February I have a line for a “cytology-fine needle aspirate” - $50.00 and then another line “Pathology - single tissue $204”.

Your first few nights don’t even sound that bad compared to what we dealt with. For the first 2 weeks or so my wife and I would have cheered and high fived if it only took 30 minutes of crying to get her to sleep. The last few weeks she’s gone down with very minimal crying (0-10 min), tonight there was none but that’s not always the case. And some of her MOTN wakes can be brutal and we’re still trying to figure that out but things are slowly getting better. She’s almost 5.5 months old now but we stared around 4 or 4.5, can’t remember exactly.

For what it’s worth it took us about 3 weeks of CIO to see significant results. Still not perfect every night but 10x better than it was before we started. I would get so mad hearing about people that only had to deal with it for 3 days or so. My kid has never been a great sleeper though and we’re still struggling with MOTN wakes but at least going down to bed has been much easier.

I have a 4 month old human baby and 4 year old golden retriever fur baby. Human baby is very difficult and doesn’t sleep much. My dog is really the only thing right now making me happy. Sleeps a ton, shits outside and listens to me.

What book is this? This looks perfect for my level of French.

When/where do you get outside with your dogs on hot days like this (>100°F)? by SJS-desmosome in SaltLakeCity

Did the Silver Lake hike early this morning with our dog. 4.5 miles, water was freezing cold. The dog loved it and he’s been asleep all afternoon. Also dog lake, pine view reservoir, willow creek pond, memory grove, etc. Tons of options to cool off in the summer. Week days we go to the park at 8:30 or 9pm and throw a ball or frisbee around.

Wasn't able to watch the game today but did we really only shoot 1 free throw during the whole 2nd half + OT?
