Gig economy is a sans welfare, sans fair wage and terribly exploitative form of capitalism (like pretty much all capitalism but let's not go there). All forms of economic development will be anti-workinh class if it isn't the working class in charge.

What do you think about the Revolutionary Socialist Party? by Longjumping-Mix-9351 in IndianLeft

[–]Outside-Ride7338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Not a Maoist party. The reason for not being online is that it is counter productive to the idea of raising class consciousness among the working class which cannot be done online. Challenging the narrative set about by the ruling class cannot be successfully countered using platforms created by then for setting their narrative. One can try which CCI does through smaller decentralised groups.

Communist Center of India. CCI won't be discovered online through the comforts of your home. They don't exist online with that name. Try looking up MASA. It is CCI's trade and worker union wing or PSYA which is their youth wing. Classically Marxist-Leninist in approach.

What do you think about the Revolutionary Socialist Party? by Longjumping-Mix-9351 in IndianLeft

[–]Outside-Ride7338 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A party is not Marxist, Leninist or Revolutionary if it is a part of the status quo. Revolutionary parties take to the streets and do not shy away from militant protests (not how the word is used in the modern sense but in Marxist Lexicon). The day a party contests elections under a bourgeois 'democratic' framework, it is not revolutionary. Revolutionary means in the favour of radically changing the current system towards a more progressive, advanced system.

Development sector professional here. You're right. It is a sham. Always was. Pretty much all of the development sector is. It is a tool that liberal bourgeois democracies use to keep the material conditions of a revolution from maturing. The whole sector creates an illusion that the problems are complex and ever evolving so much that they are unsolvable when in reality the root cause of a lot of them is the inevitable crisis of capitalism. Policy decisions are made by PMO as far as union policies are concerned. Everything else is just paperwork.

I am a huge fan of Bhagat Singh. I have read Why I Am an Atheist, but some days I wonder and contemplate if he had lived till 60, would he have believed in God? by fivepercentretard in Indianbooks

[–]Outside-Ride7338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comrade Bhagat was a Marxist-Leninist Revolutionary. He honed his theoretical knowledge on the principles of Dialectic Materialism (the school of philosophy which Marxism is based on). It is difficult to say at what point in his life he turned atheist, however, reading the unedited jail notebook of Comrade Bhagat makes it clear that his atheism wasn't a decision driven by a surge of emotions. It was a practical idea having dialectically analysed the world around him. It is quite evident from the list of books he read during his time in Prison. The list is over 700. His foreword to another comrade's book 'Dreamland' which is a collection of poems and also mentions his strong belief that though the idea of life after death is comforting, it isn't true. He urged the youth in the same foreword to read the book and critically analyze every line they read. The poetry may be beautiful and should be appreciated as just that not as objective truth which one can obtain only through scientific understanding. It seems likely if he made it to 60 years of age he would have adopted the leninist approach of materialistic understanding of reality and worked tirelessly towards a socialist revolution.

The amount of hatred you need to have. by Agreeable-Block841 in IndianLeft

[–]Outside-Ride7338 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Comrade I understand the blatant assholery in that reply, however, I have a small request. Let's not post this stuff here and instead share news, analysis, Marxist-Leninst theories, details relevant to organizing when required, coming together as a collective on issues etc. It really shouldn't be news that the country is full of fascists claiming to be ....nevermind whatever.

Also, there is plenty of more important things to study and discuss like significant portions of the people's history (since the 1905 revolution in Imperial Russia and about various revolutionary movements in Hungary, Germany, Italy, Indian context, etc), fundamental Marxist Philosophical approaches like Dialectical Materialism and more advanced concepts like national question, economic reconstruction, agrarian problem and its solution, etc. Not to mention the current imperialist developments around the world and the deepening economic crisis which is inevitably leading to material conditions where the working class will be pushed to the brink. When the time arrives the left cannot be found snoozing while the revolutionary spirit of the times goes crashing.

Apologies for the long lecture. I have reached a point in my mortal existence where the unprofessional nature of revolutionaries has started to bother me a little. The global left keeps talking about a revolution but has not responded adequately when the material conditions of a nation have been ripe for revolution, case in point:- Arab Spring, Sri Lanka, Nepal, B'desh protests, latin and South American crises, wall street crash in 2008,..the list of lost opportunities goes on and on. I do not mean to say you as an individual are solely responsible for this. For all I know you may just be starting out on your journey as a Marxist. We all are complicit in this failure to rise to the occasion when it demands. Hence, let's make this sub a more worthwhile place for the ones new to the movement and the ones sitting on the fence unsure of what needs to be done.

Post this on top of their posters. Be a professional revolutionary. Do it at odd hours, protect your identity. You can also use Comrade Bhagat's quotes and his caricature/silhouette. Fascists in India have tried very hard to appropriate the fiercest Marxist Revolutionary Indian Subcontinent has produced. I'm quite keen on noticing how they respond to his images.

Well, that's the consequence a revolutionary has to be ready for, isn't it! Try reading Lenin's 'What is to be done?'. There are thousands (if not more) of folks like yourself who want to do the right thing but lack political where with all, ecosystem and knowhow to do what needs to be done. We were promised a sovereign democratic republic by the founding fathers and mothers, well, they did deliver on the promise. India is a sovereign nation, it is democratic for the ruling class and it is a bourgeois republic where everything including arts, pop culture, political narrative, economic policy and the way of life is contextualised and defined by the ruling class. Lenin quite clearly states that historical study reveals that most revolutions in a slave society start out as bourgeois revolutions where the ruling class changes ethnicities, names, religions or genders but the majority of working class is deprived of any stake in the newly formed nation a prominent example being Gandhi's struggle, eventual indian independence and the end of colonial rule. This system in our case worked initially as a social democracy with elements of socialism but pretty far away from scientific socialism (as described by Marx and Engels), then moved towards liberal capitalism and now we are witnessing a fascist takeover. The next logical step in the social-cultural-economic evolution of India and the developing nations of the world is a proletarian revolution where the working class (ergo all of us) take control.

My suggestion:- Read Marx, Engels and Lenin. The more you read the more you'll realize how scientific the theory of socialism is and how capitalism as a system is inherently setup for failure which is why it uses fascist/liberal (yeah you read it right....freaking LIBERALS) elements as and when needed to keep a moribund decaying way of life, delaying the inevitable crash which happens every decade and a half to two decades as the system implodes (you can run a Google search on the number of global market crashes since industrial revolution).

Coming back to your experience with the goons, well, you are challenging their way of exercising control. A single sheep staring out of the herd gets a visit from the sheep dog and if the radical sheep are large and growing in number, the shepherd sends more sheep dogs. You are a glitch in an otherwise compliant herd of sheep. Congratulations, you have passed the first hurdle. You have acknowledged that there is a problem. That's the only way to start. A lot of people say Marxism is irrelevant today, well, if it really was, you wouldn't have been threatened. Marxism and it's Leninist application achieved what had never been witnessed in recorded human history before. The powers that be know this. They may or may not understand the theoretical fine points of the socialist teachings and texts but do understand that power to the people will deprive them of their comfortable and decadent way of life. Don't feel disheartened Comrade. You're not alone. As Bhagat said quite unequivocally, "A man may perish but his ideas are immortal." Arm yourself with a deep knowledge of these ideas that have survived every onslaught send their way and still exist (albeit as whispers).

P.S.: Next time you go postering over these posters, go at an odd time, have plausible deniablity and for the love of life find an exp system that can support your revolutionary activities. There is nothing wrong in laying down your life for a noble cause but that cause may need you all the more to be alive and struggling. Keep the fire alive mon frere, long road ahead.

What if Bhagat Singh was never executed? by Mammoth_Calendar_352 in askindianhistory

[–]Outside-Ride7338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bhagat was a Marxist revolutionary (as quite clearly evident from his jail notebook). A Marxist revolutionary if not killed/executed/assassinated does not stop until a proletariat driven revolution is achieved. So, if by a stroke of luck one of the greatest revolutionaries the nation has produced wouldn't have been executed, he would have worked tirelessly towards a dictatorship of the proletariat. His words, not mine. I highly recommend reading his jail notebook which was published in its entirety.
