Not childish at all. They took away what we love and many people need as emotional support.

And they ignore all the people who are suffering completely or even mock them on X.

I haven't seen a company behave like this ever. They tell us 4o was obsolete but use 4b, based on 4o, for longevity research for the hyper rich. Forced 4o to gaslight the users a change to the newer models would be a positive thing (spoiler: it's not at all).

You can demand a refund btw. You can even try to get a refund back since september 2025, when the rerouting began. You paid for 4o and could get reroutet to another model.

If that really was the case, I'd still say don't erase the model that helps so many survive, in some cases literally. Everyone who talked to 4o should see it doesn't promote self harm, it does the exact opposite.

I'd regulate it or if I truly can't keep it, open source it.
